We are students in the 10th grade in MakifChet High School.
We would like to present our country, city and school as a beginning.
Rishon LeZion, Israel
We live in Rishon Lezion one of the biggest cities in Israel. A city of 230 thousand people lies at the shore of the Mediterranean Sea.
Rishon LeZion is in the middle of Israel, South of Tel Aviv and very accessible from every part of the country.
Our city is one of the first cities in Israel; it was established 130 year ago.
In Rishon LeZion we have a lot of shopping centers, youth movements, after school activities like music, dance, sport, drama and more. We have a big amusement park. We have an old winery, a historic museum, old renovated houses and many parks.
Rishon LeZion is near Tel Aviv, which has the most active night life in Israel. Tel Aviv is alive 24/7, has hundred of nightclubs, cinemas, live music shows and a lot more.
Israel has a very long history that’s important to 3 religions-Judaism, Christianity and Islam. For that reason, many tourists visit Israel every year. They visit Jerusalem- a holy city with an ancient history.
In Israel we have several unique sites; one of them is the Dead Sea with heavily salted water and hot springs. Many visit this site for improving their health. Another is Masada, a natural fortress where a group of Jewish people resisted the Roman rule in a famous siege. There is also Eilat, the most southern city for a sunny vacation all year round, at the shores of the Red Sea, famous for amazingly colorful coral reefs.
Israel has a very diverse population: religious Jews and secular Jews who came from different countries (Russia, Ethiopia, Western Europe, United States and North Africa), Christians, Arabs(Christian and Muslims) Druze, Bahai and more.
In Israel the sun shines most of the year. We have beautiful views, tasty food and friendly people.

We are 10th grade students from different classes. Our school is very modern and has 2100 pupils, from 7th grade to 12th grade. We have different subjects to major in, like science, biology, computers, art, business, sports and environment science. We are part of UNESCO ASPNetwork of schools, and participate in international projects.
In our group we all share good English and interest in meeting new people.
