Overview

Ideal candidate would possess a background in neighborhood, community and power center retail leasing and be interested in being a key player in a collaborative, entrepreneurial, value creation environment. Candidate should demonstrate a high level of energy, integrity, intellect and a strong work ethic. Candidate would help manage multiple leasing projects for Trademark. Candidate would maintain relationships with existing national retailers, restaurants, brokers and consultants. Candidate should be a self-starter and should not require oversight to demonstrate results. Significant travel is required for site visits to development projects, broker’s offices and retailer visits.

Candidate should be able to lead initiatives, evaluate potential projects and have very strong negotiating and interpersonal skills. Other key attributes necessary for the position: self-motivated, able to communicate clearly to co-workers and consultants, deliver well-reasoned and cost-effective solutions in a timely manner while balancing multiple priorities. Common sense, high level problem solving skills, attention to detail, strong work ethic and a willingness to work as part of a dynamic team.

Specific Areas of responsibility would include:

·  Interview, evaluate, recommend and supervise outside consultants or brokerage companies, as needed.

·  Work with development partners to coordinate the entire leasing process.

·  Negotiate and finalize letters of intent and leases and ensure that appropriate approvals are obtained.

·  Coordinate with development partners and construction representatives in preparation, review and/or negotiation of Landlord’s and Tenant’s work exhibits for lease documents.

·  Business development.

·  Specialize in direct leasing of development and investment properties and spaces.

·  Act as a Territory Expert: know your area and community.

·  Exclusively represent the Seller, Landlord and Owner (ie. for leasing).

·  Build a network and referral system

·  Work with Executive Vice President of Leasing to ensure adherence to overall company policies, procedures and use of internal resources.

·  Establish lasting client relationships.

·  Know and track all variables of your sub-market including property owners, who is buying/selling/leasing, past/current/average prices, annual property leases, factors affecting value and how transactions are being structured and all building in your territory.

·  Implement custom, detailed marketing programs during leasing of properties.

Qualifications:

·  College degree.

·  Seven or more years of applicable experience in retail leasing and/or retail development.

·  Ability to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups of people who need to cooperate to achieve maximum efficiency.

·  Strong interpersonal, oral and written communications skills required.

·  Team oriented, personal achievements and leadership roles in background required.
