CRELLIN COMMUNITY PARK

RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR FACILITY USE

To enhance and promote the safety, well-being and enjoyment of each individual in their

use of these facilities, the following regulations are adopted. Those persons violating

them will be removed from the Park and may be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

1. Littering

No person shall in any manner cause rubbish, garbage, refuse, or other offensive matter to be left on any Park lands, except in the receptacles provided for that purpose.

2. Property Damage

No person shall injure, destroy or tamper with or cut any real or personal property, trees or other plant life. There is no standing, jumping, or skating on or off the picnic tables. Vandals will be prosecuted.

3. Vehicle

No person shall operate or park a motor vehicle on any Park lands except on roads, officially designated parking lots or parking areas. NO MOTORIZED RECREATIONAL VEHICLES ARE ALLOWED (Mini-bikes, four-wheelers, Snowmobiles, etc).

4. Alcoholic Beverages and Smoking

Consumption of alcoholic beverages and tobacco on Park lands is prohibited. We are a smoke and alcohol free Park.

5. Prohibited

The following are prohibited:

FIREARMS -No hunting

ABUSIVE OR OBSCENE LANGUAGE

UNREASONABLE NOISE

Violation of the above will result in expulsion from the park.

6. PETS

All pets must be kept on a leash during Park summer hours (June 25 through August 31st). Pet owners will be responsible for “scooping” after their pets.

7. Park Hours

The Park is open from dawn to sunset. Restrooms are open at the pond pavilion during operational hours only in June, July and August or per rental agreement.

8. Swimming

Swimming is only allowed when a certified lifeguard, employed by the Town of Chatham, is on duty. Beach rules apply to all park users as posted at the waterfront and should be observed at all times. The beach is open from the end of June to late August, Noon to 6 PM.

9. Park Activities

Park activities are at your own risk. Please obey signs that indicate age appropriate equipment.

All youth under the age of 18 must wear a securely fastened helmet when skateboarding in the Park.

10. Supervision

Any organization or group with youth less than 18 years old requires the presence of adequate adult supervision at all times (1 adult per 10 children).

If use of the Park is requested by other than an individual, a Certificate of Insurance must

accompany the application. Such Certificate shall state "THE TOWN OF

CHATHAM IS NAMED ADDITIONAL INSURED FOR USE OF THE TOWN

PARK". Certificate shall show liability coverage in force for requested date of use and

shall show liability limits of at least $500,000.
