Title: Transformation Project Manager

Role Purpose
  • to work collaboratively with Operational Services in delivering projects within the Transformation Programme
  • to run projects on a day-to-day basis on behalf of the project board in line with the agreed constraints
  • to ensure that the projects deliver the required results within the specified tolerances of time, cost, quality, scope, risk and benefits
  • to be able to demonstrate that projects achieve the impact / benefits intended

  • prepare and maintain detailed delivery plans
  • monitor and report on progress, raising exceptions with the relevant authority as appropriate
  • develop and maintain key project documents including logs of risks, issues and lessons
  • conduct end stage and final reviews, resulting in recommendations for change / improvement where needed
  • contribute to the delivery of the Programme Communications Plan and other programme level activities, providing input from a project / local perspective

Role Specific accountabilities
  • To apply appropriate project management processes to ensure the successful conclusion of a given project
  • To manage issues and risks logs, escalating issues to Programme / Project Sponsor as appropriate
  • To undertake appropriate business analysis as required
  • To work effectively with regional staff in Services and colleagues across Scope in other departments
  • To liaise with key stakeholders throughout the organisation in relation to project planning and implementation.

  • To develop a detailed project plan and other documentation, for sign off
  • To deliver the projects according to plan and budget
  • To ensure that individual moving on plans are in place for all customers
  • To ensure that all stakeholders are communicated with effectively throughout the project
  • To liaise with Finance, HR, Communications & Marketing and other departments in relation to the project
  • To work with overall Programme Team to ensure successful join-up with other similar or related projects
  • To share lessons learned and actively contribute to resources that will support future projects
  • To provide detailed reporting on progress with the projects
