Be it Remembered That I Issabel Towler of Settle in the parish

of Giggleswicke and County of York Widdow and Sole Executrix of Robert

Towler late of the Same place Deceased being in Sound and perfect memory

I Bless the Lord therefore and Considering the uncertainty \of/ my time in this mortal

State am therefore minded to make publish and Declare this my last will

and Testament in writing in Such manner and form as is herein after Expressed

that is to say First and principally I Commit my Soul into the hands of

almighty God my maker Stedfastly hoping through the merrits and mediation

of Jesus Christ my Saviour and Redeemer to Receive free pardon and forgiveness

of all my Sins and my Body to be Buried in a Decent and Christian manner

by my Executrix hereafter named And as to my outward and Temporal

Estate I Do will and Dispose thereof as followeth, viz, first it is my will and

mind that all my Just Debts and funerall Expences be Duly paid and discharged

out of the whole of my Effects Item I Give unto my Daughter margaret wife of

Thomas Newhouse (the Sum) of Five Shillings Item I Give unto Robert the Son of

\the Said/ Thomas Newhouse my Grandson the Sum of five pounds to be paid to him

when he attaineth to the Age of twenty one Years in case he so long live

But if it so fall out that my Said Grandson happen to Dye before he attain to the

Said age my will is and I hereby give the same Summe of five pounds unto

my Executrix herein after nominated Item whereas the above mentioned Robert Towler

my Husband Did by his last will & Testament Devise and Bequeath unto me all

his Houses and parcells of Lands Scituate on a place called Thornber within the

Townfields of Settle aforesaid for all such Term and numbers of years as he had

therein It is my will and mind and I do hereby Give Devise and Bequeath the

the (sic) Same unto my Daughter Agnes Towler together with all my writings

Evidences belonging there to To Have And to Hold unto her and her Executors Administrators

and assignes for and During all such Terms and Numbers of Years as I have

therein that is yet unspent and to come Item I also Give unto my said Daughter

Agnes all my Goods \both/ Quick and Dead and Remaining part of my Estate whatsoever

and wheresoever and I Do hereby nominate Constitute and Appoint her my

Said Daughter Agnes Sole Executrix of this my last will and Testament and In

Witness that what is herein Contained is my last will and Testament and a

full and Clear Revokeation of all former and other wills whatsoever I have

hereunto this my last will Set my hand and Seal this Thirteenth day of September

in the Year According to the Brittish Account one thousand Seven hundred

and thirty Seven 1737. Isabel Towler Sealed Signed published and Declared

to be the last will and Testament of the above named Isabel Towler in the Sight

and presence of us, John Lawson William Stockdale Thos Carr This will passed

the Seal the 20th day of April 1738
