Tottenham Medley Market- stallholder application form
Dear Stallholder
Haringey Council is getting ready to hold a one-day one day pilot market in TottenhamGreenEastPark, Tottenham High Road.
The medley market on Saturday 29September is part of the council’s 12 in 2012 pledges to deliver regeneration and activities to Tottenham throughout the year, and comes in response to resident feedback which showed huge support for staging a new local market.
The market will also coincide with the exciting Project Tottenham event – Tottenham’s first ever community film showcase which will take place at locations along the High Road from Friday 28 to Sunday 30 September.
To apply for a stall, complete the following application form and return it by email to by post to Tottenham Market Team, 7thfloor, River Park House, 225 High Road, Wood Green, N22 8HQ, no later than 5pm on Friday 7September 2012.
As the market is a pilot, there will be no charge for stalls, however all stallholdersmusthave a street traders licence (£21), which must be applied for no later thanFriday, 14September 2012. Successful applicants will be informed of how to apply.
The market will be promoted in the local press, on Haringey Council’s website, in libraries, at film showcase venues and via community groups.
All applications will be reviewed in the week commencing 10 September to allow stallholders time to submit street trader licence applications.
Applications will be considered against the following criteria:
- Type, cost and quality of products
- Location of your business
- How well products meet needs of local community
- Evidence of public liability insurance
- Evidence of food hygiene certificate (where applicable)

Tottenham Green East Market site
The market is to take place on TottenhamGreenEastPark. The site has four pedestrian entrances and is near to Seven Sisters underground station and many bus routes. The site does not have its own parking and vehicles will not be able to drive onto the site.
Details on parking options for stallholders and access times to set up and dismantle your stall will be circulated to successful applicants.
A single market stall is 7ft by 3ft and a double market stall is 14ft by 3ft.
Please indicate what size stall you require on the form below. Please note that it may not be possible to allocate double stalls to all applicants.

Terms & Conditions
- You must trade within your allocated space and not encroach outside your designated space
- You are required to have your own insurance liability for damage / theft of any of your equipment
- You are required to hold appropriate public and third party liability insurance to the satisfaction of the Council.
- You must use the stall only for the goods and services as agreed on the application
- You shall not sell or display any item that contravenes the Councils policies
- Prices should be clearly displayed
- Stallholders should maintain their stall spaces in clean and sanitary condition and shall remove all boxes, packaging and debris at the end of the day.
- Produce must meet legal labelling requirements
- The London Borough of Haringey shall not be held responsible for any accident that may occur from the exhibits or equipment brought onto the event site by the Trader. By signing the application form for an allocation of space at this event, you are indemnifying the London Borough of Haringey against all claims, demands, proceedings, actions, damages, costs, expenses and any other liabilities in relation to the injury to or death of any person, or loss of or damage to any property, or any other loss which is caused directly or indirectly by any act or omission by you.
- Postponement of Event -The postponement or abandonment of the event either before the opening or at any other time during the course of the event shall not give rise to any claim whatsoever against the London Borough of Haringey.
- Cancellation of Event -The Event Organiser will not be liable for any other payment to the trader that might be put forward such as loss of business or the rejection of other opportunities in the interim period.
