Rodolfo Guzman Huerta entered the world of professional wrestling as a 16 year-old in 1934, competing under his own name, then variously as Rudy Guzman, the Bat #2, the Black Demon and in other guises. His fame rose to near legendary status when publisher Jose Cruz began featuring his character as a superhero in a series of comic books, beginning in 1952 and continuing for some 35 years. In 1958 he moved from print to film with the Cerebro del Mal (Brain of Evil) the first of 50 films featuring his exploits against various monsters and evil-doers. Over the ensuing years, Levan disciples and other DJ's tried their hand at the interpreting the song.
