TORs of Media consultancy

Indus Consortium - a collaborative platform of 3 humanitarian and development organizations i.e. Laar Humanitarian Development Program (LHDP), Doaba Foundation and HELP Foundation - is a manifestation of a joint force of the people living around Sindh (Indus) River basin in Pakistan. The consortium represents the unity among various groups of different ethnic, linguistic and geographic features and their resolve to struggle for the development of the people around Indus River basin whose forefathers, in the ancient ages, had developed one of the most prosperous civilizations around the globe; remembered in history as Indus Civilization.

Indus Consortium in collaboration with Oxfam is executing its global Campaign GROW under the title “Harvesting Global Food Security in the face of Climate Change”. Indus Consortium has worked extensively for two years on budget advocacy around Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation in Punjab Province and has reviewed the Climate public expenditures and priorities of government during 2015-17.

GROW week-

Oxfam and Indus Consortium in Pakistan are launching GROW week from 16 to 20 October 2017.

Under the campaign Indus Consortium in collaboration with Oxfam in Pakistan, Hashoo Foundation are jointly organizing following events:

-Seminar on world food day theme event on 17 October at main auditorium of university.

-The second event of the GROW week is women farmers assembly which will take place on 20 October in Faltties hotel Lahore.

- IC also intends to organize TV talk show on the topic on 19th evening or 20th Morning. Please refer to event plan attached herewith for the conceptual clarity and proceedings of the event. Indus Consortium is seeking Media consultant to ensure following things of the event.

  • Media coverage of the eventsin mainstream electronic and print Media
  • Translation of English version of press release in Urdu
  • Release of sign off versions of English and Urdu Media and ensure its publication in mainstream English and Urdu newspapers. Including Dawn, The News and Express Tribune in English and Daily Jang and Daily Express Urdu papers.
  • Invite mainstream electronic media of Islamabad and Lahore ensure 05 media packages are developed and on on-air as well. Consultant will share the clips and media coverage with Indus Consortium.
  • On TV talk show preferably on PTV will be organized on 19th in the evening
