I hope this finds everyone enjoying some spring weather and getting outside for walking or hiking! Remember we are on “The Road to Success”, I hope spring will inspire many of you to take advantage of the fresh air. Be sure and wear good socks and shoes. Warm up before you head out!
TOPS WALK WASHINGTON. It is that time of year! Get your chapter together and walk. Because of Memorial Day and SRD, I would like you to pick a weekend that works for your chapter, make sure you wear TOPS T-Shirts. Walk in an area where people can see you. You must fill out a release form before you walk (there is one in this mailing). After the walk, cross out any names that did not walk or help and mark any first time walkers. Send this to me. You will receive your awards at Fall Rally. If you would like to get hold of other chapters to walk with, contact your Area Captain or me for phone numbers.
In this mailing: I have enclosed new My Day One. Be sure that your new members receive one. You should have 2 on hand as new members join your Chapter.
New Membership applications: Please mark new on new apps and if you use them for members that do not bring in their renewal forms from headquarters mark the renewal box for these members.
KOPS registrations: Please remember I need two copies of these, include Drs. goal slip and a copy of the current year TOPS chart, with a check for $4.00.
Release form: for WALK Washington.
SRD is next week. I hope many of you will be attending. Remember, if you have people that will be going across stage, be there to help them out. It may be very scary for them. Don’t let them down. I hope you will please come and say hi to me. I always look forward to seeing many of you.
I’M SO HAPPY TO REPORT THAT THE BELIEVE BUCKET OF TICKETS FOR NEW MEMBERS IN OUR AREA IS OVERFLOWING! I will be bringing these to both SRD and IRD for special drawings including a grand prize of $250 for a winning chapter. Congratulations to all of you for your efforts in outreach in the community.
I will be sending another Newsletter the 2nd week of June. It will have all the details for Fall Rally.
IT’S TIME TO EXPRESS YOUR APPRECIATION TO OUR AREA CAPTAINS
As your chapter disperses money held in your Recognition Day accounts for our upcoming SRD, please set aside a portion to donate to your Area Captain’s IRD Fund in appreciation for all they do in our Area. Sharon Morris, Area Captain is attending her first IRD as a member of my Field Staff team and Virginia Lodahl is attending to be.
Send checks to me as I administer and account for this fund. PLEASE SEND BY JUNE 1ST and I will distribute the funds equally to all attending.
When your Area Captain visits your Chapter to present a program or an award ceremony, please write them a check for their gas. Gas has climbed sky high and is going higher, consider they are taking time for you, don’t forget them.
