TOPIC: Lady Patriot Track
District Track Results
JV results:Delana Edwards almost jumped 30 Feet and got fourth in the Triple Jump.
Sofia Smith (set a personal record) made the finals in the 400 Meter Dash
Levyen Do made the finals in the 200 Meter Dash
Varsity Results:
Freshman Keely Wallis in the Varsity Shot Put got 2nd and will advance to Area
Keesha Walker also placed in her first varsity Shot competition and earned a Varsity Letter!
Abby Holland also competed for her first Varsity Discus, not only did she place, but she made the finals and almost made it to Area. She also earned her Varsity Letter!
Annie Watts Tied for First again jumping 5'4" in the Varsity High Jump and will be moving on to Area Competition.
Freshman Corrine Novak in her first ever Varsity High Jump almost cleared 5 foot which would have placed and gone to Area.
Meagan Kronmiller Vaulted for the first time in a Varsity Meet and not only scored, but earned her Varsity Letter!
Sierra Richardson set a school record in the 2 mile, and placed 4th, she has also earned her Varsity Letter!
Freshman Alyson Ashby made the finals in one of the fastest districts in the state.
Senior Anna Bunte also set a personal best in shot put.
We would like to describe an event last night if everyone can listen...please.....Senior Ana Moorhead, who has always been one of the fastest 300 hurdlers in the area, was running her last ever district hurdle event, in order to make it to Area and Regional. SHE FELL GOING OVER THE SECOND HURDLE.... and not only went "head over heels" in her lane but took all the skin off her lower leg...... Not only did she GET UP AND FINISH, she beat four people in her race! And will run in the finals tomorrow!

Student Council and Class Council elections will be held this Friday, April 11th during all lunches in room 501. Let your voice be heard. Vote!

TOPIC: Talent Show
Try out for East View's first annual Talent Show!! Auditions are April 17th in the Theater and the Talent show is May 1st. Sign-up sheet and information is in the hall by the Choir room, number 520! Show us your talent East View!!!
TOPIC: Project Graduation
Since we do not charge for this event for Seniors, we are in desperate need of contributions from anyone that can help including private individuals, businesses, organizations, and volunteers. We are in need of money, prizes, and volunteers for the event, and please remember that all donations are tax deductible. 100% of all donations will go directly to the event. All of our organizers are volunteers and do not receive any form of payment. Underclassman parents let’s keep this tradition going your student will be graduating soon. If you would like to volunteer your time or donate money or prizes you can contact us at , or our Facebook page East View High Project Graduation or online at remember the only way we can continue this event is through contributions from the community.
We will be selling Round Rock donuts on Friday, April 11th @ 3:45. Donuts $1.00, TX size donut $10.00, Donut holes for $2.00. We will also have popcorn & candy for $1.00 from City Lights Movie Theater.We are pre selling donuts rest of the week to ensure you get your donut last event we sold out in 7 minutes.
TOPIC: Sparklers Dance Team Tryouts
If you like to dance and love to travel, then come tryout for the 2014-2015 East View Sparklers Dance Team. The Sparklers will hold their annual team tryouts on Friday, May 9th at EVHS. There will be mandatory informational meetings on Tuesday, April 15th or Wednesday, April 16th at 6:30 in the EVHS Lecture Hall. Please bring a parent, a wallet size photograph and a copy of your last report card and a pen with you to the meeting. We will be teaching a high kick sequence that night so dress in comfortable clothes.
If you are interested in being a part of this high energy, dynamic and award winning teamcome by the front office for more information. Information and brochures are available at the receptionist’s desk.

TOPIC: Spring College Fair
EVHS Students- Mark your calendars for the Spring College Fair at GHS!It will take place in the cafeteria on April 24, 2014 from 6pm to 8pm. Juniors, this is a great time for you to come, check out colleges and universities that you may be interested in, get information, talk to recruiters and check out options.
TOPIC: Freshman
Attention Freshmen!! The freshman class officers are selling Class of 2017 t-shirts through April 11th. They are navy with a red logo and will be sold for $15.00 each. If you would like to purchase a shirt, please get an order form from a Freshman class officer or Mrs. Hester in Room 116. If we receive 50 orders by the end of the day on April 10th Mr. Hunt will wear a prom dress to school ALL DAY on April 11th. All proceeds go to fund help fund the prom for the Class of 2017! Please contact Mrs. Hester with any questions.
TOPIC: Chase the Chief 5K
Chase the Chief 5K and Fun Run is almost here! Please join us on Sunday, April 13th, 1:00-5:00, in San Gabriel Park for the 2nd Annual Chase the Chief 5K and Fun Run. Walk, run, push a stroller...It doesn't matter! Cross the finish line ahead of Georgetown Police Chief Wayne Nero and win a special prize. In addition to the races, there are several free events including a tot trot, a health fair, children's obstacle courses, and music. It will be fun for the whole family! - The Baldwin Beauty School is offering Scholarships into their program. Please see Mrs. Lewis for application and information. Deadline is May 21st.
- Attention seniors the deadline for the Kiwanis Club Scholarship has been extended to April 11th. Please do not wait until the day of to turn them in.
- Georgetown Area Republican Womenwill award 3 scholarships for the 2014-2015 Collegiate school year to one area High School student. One Female will be selected from Georgetown High School, East View High School, Jarrell High School and Florence High School.See application for details.Applications are due April 11, 2014 and are available in the administrative office or can be downloaded here:GtownARW
- Seniors you could win a $1000, $1500, $2500, or $5000 dollar scholarship through the Texas Hospitality Association poster contest. Stop by Counselors office for topic and details. Postmark Deadline is Friday May 16th.
- The Austin Relocation Council is offering a $1000 scholarship to a high school senior who has relocated to the Austin area from a distance of greater than 50 miles (and changed high schools) within the last 48 months. Stop by counselor’s office for information flyer.
- If you are a senior who has participated in the ACC College Connections program and are planning to attend ACC next year please stop by the counselor’s office for ACC specific scholarship opportunities.
- EVHS Seniors, have you been accepted to a 2 or 4 year college? The Abe Harrison American Legion Post 174 is offering a $500.00 scholarship so stop by and pick up an application. Preference will be given to applicants who have a family member that has served or is serving in any branch of the armed services of the US.
- Seniors if you are planning to attend an accredited college or certification program for the purpose of becoming a firefighter, police officer or an EMS certified above level of EMT then don’t miss out on the opportunity to be considered for a $2500.00 scholarship offered by The Steven Kincaid Memorial Foundation. First Responders and Public Safety careers may also be considered. Applications are in the counselor’s office.
