Tom Julian to Present Seminar on Planning and Designing Your Trophy Room at SCI’s 45th Annual Hunters’ Convention

Hunters who want to get ideas on how to preserve their trophies and display them in a welcoming atmosphere will want to be sure to attend the 45th Annual SCI Hunters’ Convention, February 1-4, 2017, in Las Vegas, Nevada. They will be able to see hundreds of trophies on display in the convention hall that have been mounted by some of the most respected taxidermists in the world. In addition, they can attend a seminar hosted by Tom Julian titled Planning and Designing Your Trophy Room to get ideas on how to best display their trophies.

Seminar presenter Tom Julian says on his website that a trophy room is a very personal place. It should not be merely four walls with mounted animal heads. It’s a visible expression of its owner, a picture book of his exploits and adventures . . . and perhaps most of all, that special place of refuge where he can spend time reflecting on the good things in life. It is a display of one’s passions and an artful presentation of an outdoor lifestyle.

Tom Julian’s ability to design and build unique trophy rooms evolved from his experience as a custom home builder, his cabinet making skills, and his passion for hunting. Drawing on his experience as a general contractor, Tom works with architects and the building trades to insure that the basic room has all the necessary structural requirements. These must be established before focusing on the aesthetic aspects of the room.

This informativeseminar will feature the practical aspects of designing and building a space to present the hunter’s outdoor trophies and hunting lifestyle. Discussion will be from a builder’s standpoint, focusing on the necessary structural, mechanical and aesthetic aspects to make the trophy room a functional and inviting part of your home.

The seminar will be held on February 2, 2017, from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. in meeting room Lagoon H at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center on Level 2.
