20 years of Razorcat

Tamworth Staffs and Berlin, 23rdOctober 2017 – Razorcat, provider of test tools for the development of embedded software and manufacturer of the successful unit and integration test tool TESSY, is celebrating its 20th anniversary in October. Founded in 1997 by Michael Wittner the company began by developing software for Daimler AG. Today, Razorcat with headquarters in Berlin and a branch office in Waldbronn, Germany, is a leading tool provider with proven test solutions for embedded software in all industrial sectors such as industrial automation, automotive, avionic and medical. The company's product portfolio is distributed in the United Kingdom by Phaedrus Systems.
The core technology TESSY and the graphical editor CTE (Classification Tree Editor) was developed as prototype test tools in Daimler's research laboratory. Just four years after the company was founded, the core product TESSY was successfully launched internationally.
In 2012, following many successful projects, including Airbus, the product portfolio began to be significantly expanded. In addition to new TESSY versions, Razorcat is now testing services, seminars and other products, including the test management tool ITE (Integrated Test Environment), the test definition language CCDL (Check Case Definition Language) and tools for executing and managing tests on hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test systems.
