Club Captains

Today is your last chance to nominate Summer Season Club Captains. If you are 10yrs or older you can nominate someone that is 12yrs and older for Club Captain.

We are looking for a boy and girl to take on these roles for Summer Season.

Duties include assisting Club Officials and our Junior Swimmers, attending Club Meetings, assisting at our upcoming Mini Meet Carnival, and weekly Club swimming.

Nomination forms are available at the front desk.

Junior Dolphin Training Squad

Junior Dolphin Training is under way once again.

A great opportunity for your child to receive additional swim training prior to racing.

Our volunteer trainers will assist your child with stroke correction, turns, dives and all other aspects of swimming.

Classes begin at 2.00pm and are open to all our registered members.

Cost is just $3.00 per swimmer. This cost covers the cost of the pool hire.

Winter Presentation

Winter Presentation will be held after club next Saturday 28 October 2017 in the school hall starting at 6.00pm.

At the conclusion of the presentation we will enjoy a delicious bbq before dancing the night away at the disco.

We ask our families to bring in something that we can all share for dessert.

For catering purposes please put your name on the sheet at the front desk.

With the beginning of a new season we have decided to see if we can get enough people interested in the club costume so we can place an order.

Prices are as follows:-

Movie Afternoon

The movie afternoon will be going ahead in January at Events Cinema Hurstville.

We will be attending the movie “Paddington” which comes out on 21 December 2017, as this is very close to Christmas we will attend an afternoon session in mid January 2018.

Will organise a firm date closer to the end of the year.

Perpetual Trophies

Anyone still holding a perpetual trophy from Summer Season can you return them in the next few weeks so they can be put on permanent display in the trophy cabinet.

We Need Your Help

We are still looking for a PA/Sound System for our Mini Meet Carnival. Does anyone have access or knows someone that has access to a PA/Sound System.

If anyone can help us please talk to George Ross.

Music Quiz Night

On Saturday night 25-11-2017 we will be hosting a Music trivia/quiz night in the school hall.

Everyone loves music so this is a chance to test your knowledge on all things music.

Get your table organised now, you will need a variety of ages to identify all years and genres of music. There will be something for everyone.

Cost will be $5.00 per person capped at $20.00 per family. Supper will be provided. BYO drinks and nibbles.

Come along and enjoy a fun night out for all the family.

Fees Summer Season

Membership fees for Summer Season 2017/18 will be:-

12 month registration - $140.00 for the first family member and $120.00 for each subsequent family member.

Summer Season only - $110.00 for the first family member and $100.00 for each subsequent family member.

Junior Dolphin Program - Free for all swimmers aged 7yrs and under.

Second Claim Members - $50.00 for the first family member and $40.00 for each subsequent family member.

These fees must be paid by the 2nd week your child swims at Club, this is to ensure they are covered by insurance in the event of an accident.

Junior Dolphin Training Fees

Due to the increased cost in pool hire fees from the commencement of Summer Season we have to increase the fees of the Dolphin Training Squad.

From 7-10-2017 Dolphin Training will cost $3.00 per swimmer.

PASC Mini Meet

We will be holding our Mini Meet Carnival on Saturday 11-11-2017, warm up 1.00pm, carnival starts 1.30pm.

This is a great carnival for 10yrs & under swimmers. Entries are now open through our website.

On the day we will require many helpers with jobs such as - marshalling, time keeping, recording, bbq (both cooking and selling). We will also require help setting up prior to the commencement of the carnival.

We ask our parents and senior swimmers to help us out on the day. It is a small carnival so we only need your assistance in the afternoon.

This is a great carnival to get your child into carnival swimming and what better way to do it than at your own carnival.

Also on the day we will ask that the families attending the carnival bring in a plate of food to help feed our hungry volunteers.

Technical Officials

Anyone interested in becoming a Technical Official, now is the time to seriously think about doing so.

Go to the Swimming NSW website and click on Technical Officials, all the information you need can be found here.

Training course can be done on line before being assessed.

Any parent who wishes to become a Technical Official needs to become a non swimming member of the Club first. See George, David or John to find out how to become a member.

Technical Officials are a vital part of our Club and your qualifications may start off small but can lead you to big places.
