  • The Westfall FFA Chapter will be participating in National FFA Week February 21-24. In conjunction with this week FFA will be conducting several school wide events for you to participate in. First: Dress Up:

Friday- Blue and Gold Day

Also on Friday February 24 all first period classes are encouraged to donate pennies/change, proceeds benefit Children’s Hospital. The 1st period class who brings in the most money will earn a free breakfast on Monday February 27th.

  • Students, you are invited to enter the Twentieth Annual Rotary Four- Way Test Speech Contest. The contest is being conducted on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at Teays Valley High School. Any student interested may pick-up more information and a registration form in the Guidance Office.
  • Juniors- Applications for the 2012 Better Business Bureau Student of Integrity Award are available in the Guidance Office.
  • There will be a “Planning for College” Night. Thursday, March 8 at 6 pm in the Study Hall. Information will be presented on post-secondary and dual enrollment opportunities, the college application and financial aid process, scholarships and ACT testing and preparation. All is welcome!
  • Ohio University-Chillicothe is offering a preparation course for the ACT on March 24 &31, 2012. More information in available in the Guidance Office.
  • Seniors, the following scholarships are available in the Guidance Office:

  • Juniors and Seniors, Ohio Christian University will be here on Tuesday, February 28 at 9:00 am to meet with interested students. If you have not met with four college representatives, you may sign-up to meet with OCU in the Guidance Office.
  • Students are invited to attend a Healthcare Career Night at the Adena PACCAR Medical Education Center in Chillicothe on March 28, 2012 from 6:30- 8:30 pm. More information is posted on the Guidance Office Bulletin Board.
  • The boys sectional Championship game is February 25 at 5:00 at the Waverly Downtown Gym. Tickets are for sale for $5 in the office.
  • Last week for AFTERMATH before the state tournament. Wednesday 2:45- 4:00.
  • Anyone who ordered a “Team Sammie T-shirt” must pay $15 to Mrs. Wippel by Friday February 24 or the order will not be placed.
