Yearbook Portfolio Requirements

By the end of the course, your portfolio should demonstrate that you have learned the ability to do the following:

-to work in a professional and effective manner

-to manage time effectively

-to think creatively

-to organize several tasks in order to complete a project and/or page layout on time and in a professional manner

-to work cooperatively and selflessly to complete assignments on time

-to design a yearbook page layout with minimal errors

-to write a quality copy story that is error free

-to write clear and cohesive captions that are error free

-to take high quality photos

-to use InDesign, Photoshop and other software tools

-to crop photos in an effective manner

-to edit and proof your own work

-to demonstrate leadership and team work skills

Portfolio design

Meets Expectations: Overall design of portfolio and highlighted projects employs appropriate use of design principles, layout design, image composition, color theory, and typography. Portfolio reflect flowchart elements, includes good usability and accessibility, and consistent design elements. Portfolio showcases student’s technical skills.
