The Code of Ethics of the Detroit Professional Photographers Association shall be:
“We, who have been accepted into membership in the Detroit Professional Photographers Association,
do hereby subscribe without reservation to this Code of Ethics, and do solemnly agree that:”
“We will endeavor to enhance and ennoble the status of the photographic profession by maintaining a dignity of manner in our behavior, in
the appearance of our studio or place of business, in the presentation of our photography and photographic services, and in other forms of
public contact.”
“We will observe the highest standard of honesty in all our transactions, avoiding the using of false titles, confusing or inaccurate technical
terms of descriptions, and misleading terms or claims.”
“We will show a friendly spirit of cooperation with our fellow professional photographers and assist them whenever possible should they be in
trouble or difficulty.”
“We will at all times avoid the use of unfair competitive practices. We will assist and give our knowledge to the members of our profession,
and will encourage them individually and collectively, so the quality of photography may constantly be raised to higher standards.”

Information for Credit Card Payments:
By submitting a credit card option application, I understand that the Detroit Professional Photographers Association (DPPA) will charge my credit card for the term of membership chosen. I understand that I will pay an additional bank processing fee which is included in dues amounts in this application. The charge will appear on my credit card statement as Detroit Professional Photographers Association and the statement will act as a receipt. DPPA will notify me of any dues or membership changes and will not automatically renew my membership. If DPPA is unable to successfully make a charge to my credit card, DPPA will contact me to make any changes or corrections to my record. If DPPA is unable to successfully process my payment, my membership will be considered void, and I am required to pay the balance in full to reinstate my membership. DPPA is not responsible for any overdraft or bank fees charged to the member if a debit card is used for membership dues payments.
