Introduction

Founded in 1961, the objective of the Association is for the purpose of advancing the standard of knowledge and service in the provision of air-conditioning and refrigerating equipment and service; promoting and developing the expertise in the trade of marketing air-conditioning and refrigerating equipment and service and generally for the advancement of air-conditioning and refrigerating service for the public of Hong Kong.

Membership

There are three categories of member including Fellow, Ordinary and Associate. The association invites application for ordinary and associate members with the following qualifications.

1) Ordinary Member

Corporate bodies of Hong Kong being authorized distributors of Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Equipment or contractors whose names appear on the list of Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Plants including ductwork, Groups I and II maintained by the Government Secretariat Works Bureau of Hong Kong; and

Subject to the approval of the Council, members who have become Associate Members as defined in below for five consecutive years and have served the Council for two consecutive years prior to application.

2) Associate Members

Any person (including corporate bodies) whose interests are in line with the Objects of the Association.

All Members shall have the right to appoint two authorized representatives in writing to attend meetings and to participate in the activities of the Association.

Application for Membership

1. Application for membership of the Association must be made in writing in the attached forms.

Application for Membership must be supported by the recommendations in writing of at least two Fellow Members or Ordinary Members.
