  1. Purpose of Job

To support the delivery of youth work at Coin Streetto improve the health, wellbeing and resilience of young people and enhance community cohesion though a weekly youth club for young people 8-12yrs.

  1. Key accountabilities

1 / Deliver high quality youth club to develop young people’s social and emotional capabilities through fun, challenging and educational activities in an informal setting.
2 / Lead on specific areas of responsibility or projects (e.g. music, sport, arts and crafts or IT) to improve the health and wellbeing, skills and experience of local young people and contribute to community cohesion.
3 / Develop positive relationships with young people to encourage their participation and active involvement taking into consideration special needs, gender, and families’ ethnic, cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
4 / Contribute to planning and evaluation of the youth programmes to deliver high quality provision that meets the physical, intellectual, social and emotional needs of local young people.
5 / Work in partnership with parents/carers, colleagues, professionals and stakeholders to best support young people
6 / Plan, supervise and react in the sessions to maintain the health and safety of young people at all times.
7 / Vigilant of possible safeguarding issues and concerns, respond appropriately and inform Community Programmes Assistant or Safeguarding Officer.
