Purpose of Job:
- The Account Manager is accountable for the PlayerLayer business.
- To build the business to the annual sales target and beyond whilst delivering an excellent service.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
- To research the market and build a database of contacts
- To establish leads and point of entry into each market
- Develop sales plans, which are consistent with the company’s mission, strategic plan and annual plan.
- To achieve the agreed sales targets.
- To revise and update the annual sales forecast on a monthly basis.
- To organise local marketing and promotional events with key customers.
- To ensure that the internal sales process within the Universities proceed according to the timeline.
- To build and maintain the Customer Knowledge Database. (Salesforce.)
- To ensure selling samples are kept in a safe place and maintained to the highest presentable level.
- To attend sales meetings and sales trainings when required.
- To attend relevant sporting events outlined by the company. This will often be scheduled on a weekend.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
- University Degree in Economics, Marketing, Sports marketing,; or other equivalent education/training.
- Business minded with strong negotiation skills.
- An excellent communicator and presenter of concepts and products.
- Excellent feeling for opportunities to enhance the business and the brand.
- A passion for sport.
- Numerate and comfortable with spreadsheets.
- Professional, dynamic and dedicated person.
- Diplomatic and consistent in pursuing his/her goals.
- Strong team player.
- Strong personal values, showing integrity, an open mind and attentive listening skills.
- Field sales experience is preferred but not essential.
