Introduction and Job Purpose
The exciting role lies at the heart of a dynamic business support service, the Learner Experience Team. The team offers a high caliber of customer service, supporting the outstanding performance by the college as a whole.
The role is integral to achieving positive experiences for every visitor, member of staff and learner that chooses to study with Macclesfield College. The position offers a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with a wide range of people, varied tasks and workload and have a high standard of communication, organisational and customer service skills
Key Accountabilities
  1. To provide a high quality service to all visitors, learners and staff

  1. Deal effectively with all enquiries to ensure customer satisfaction is achieved

  1. Be an effective and efficient member of a team that is able to work flexibly and effectively in a number of different frontline locations to meet learner and business need

  1. Work with the Learner Experience Coordinator to ensure that all frontline service areas are well presented, welcoming and following security protocols at all times

  1. Positively represent Macclesfield College at promotional admissions events

  1. Reception Services will include
To provide and maintain a welcoming and professional environment for all
visitors, staff and learners.
Provide information/assistance about the college including the courses and the
various other services available to customers.
Welcome all visitors to the college, ensuring an outstanding first impression is
made and they are directed appropriately. All visitors must be provided with a
visitors badge and made aware of the emergency evacuation procedure on
the back of their visitors badge/
Issue student ID badges, take trip payments and Pure Salon payments.
Take course payments and enroll students onto part time leisure courses.
Be aware of cross college activities and direct people accordingly.
Maintain the College visitor diary and ensure staff with visitors are aware when
visitors arrive.
Liaise with the Estates team (where appropriate) should any security issues
arise.
7.Administration Services will include:
Processing of course enquiriesand actioning the appropriate follow-up
procedure
Processing of college applications including scheduling/co-ordinating
College interviews and appropriate follow up procedure
Supporting the curriculum team with a variety of administrative tasks such
as, mailing of parent/carer communications, and course trip administration.
Administering a wide range of college enquiries (both online and offline)
Understand and provide information about course fees and funding
information.
Receipt of applications and reservations of places using the College’s
Student Records system
Coordinating communications from Head of Faculties to parents and carers
Understand and apply fee and funding policy information to enable accurate
information provision to learners about course fees and funding
8 Promote the College positively at all times when communicating with
learners, staff and visitors
9 Undertake a First Aid at Work qualification and administer First Aid to staff,
learners and visitors as required
10Seek and undertake professional development / staff development opportunities to ensure skill set remains current and allows innovative and creative evaluation and development of systems and processes that support the teams operations.
11.Undertake staff development and training as required to that duties can be
performed to a high standard

Special Features

Some regular evening and occasional weekend work is be required.
No annual leave to be taken from mid-August to the end of September due to College enrolment taking place..
