Welcome to Whole Heart Wellness. We are a collaborative interdisciplinary team and it is our aim to make our time together as beneficial and meaningful for you as possible.
The Whole Heart Wellness clinic offers assessment and consultation by our psychiatrist as well as ongoing therapeutic services by a clinician. You will work with your clinician to identify personal treatment goals and length of treatment. We work from a strength based and person centered approach, valuing the blend of both holistic and therapeutic services.
Your sessions with both the psychiatrist and clinician will remain confidential; however there are limits to our ability to keep certain information confidential, these limits include:
1. Where there is reasonable suspicion of abuse to minor children or to the elderly
2. Where the client presents a serious and foreseeable danger to him/herself or to others
3. When I am ordered to do so by a judge in a court of law
While you are receiving treatment within our clinic, please inform us if you develop new or worsening symptoms, medication side effects or physical health problems. If you begin to feel unsafe please call 911 or visit your local hospital.
A few frequently asked questions:
What if I have to cancel my appointment?
We ask that you give us at least 48 hours in advance in cancelling your appointment and we would be happy to reschedule one with you. If you do not give at least 48 hours notice, you will be charged a cancellation fee of 125 per therapist session or the OHIP billable rate if cancelling with the psychaitrist. This helps us ensure that we are able to fill your spot with another valued client.
How often will I have an appointment?
This will depend on your needs and treatment goals and will be decided on as a collaborative process between yourself and the treatment team. Generally appointments are more frequent when someone first enters the program.
What are the fees for service?
For therapists: $125 per appointment. We accept email money transfer, cheque and visa.
Psychiatric services are covered by OHIP
Some services are covered by extended health benefits; please check with your insurance provider.
All non OHIP appointments whether covered by insurance or not are paid in full; a receipt is provided after every session.
Where is your clinic located?
Our address is 1739 Bathurst Street. This is South of Eglinton, on the West side of Bathurst. There is street parking on Bathurst, right in front of the office, until 330 pm. There is side street parking on Richview. Parking is not allowed on Dewbourne. Please check signs.
