7:00pm to 9:30 pm, Wednesday

Our HRT 101 class tour will be of the Disney Resort in Anaheim. You will learn about Walt Disney’s vision and about the concept of theming from Disney’s top executives. In addition you will go on a walking tour of Disneyland, Disney’s California Adventure, the Grand Californian Hotel and Downtown Disney. Please make your own arrangements for transportation.

The details of our field trip are as follows:

Directions: Parking is free.

Traveling from Cal Poly, Pomona – Take Temple Avenue to the 57 Freeway going south. Drive for approximately 30 minutes Exit at Ball Road and turn right (West.) Proceed down Ball road and cross Harbor Boulevard. The next traffic light will be Ox road/Cast Place – turn left toward the yellow building. Visitor parking is in front of the garage parking lot (surface parking) and is to your immediate left. A security officer will be present to direct you.

Location: Please meet at the “yellow” Team Disney Building (Disney Administration.)

Objectives: “ Brief presentation on Disney, Walt Disney’s vision and customer service by Bill Ross. Walking tour of Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure lead by executive John Storebeck. Tour of Grand Californian Hotel lead by Tony Bruno. Evening will end in Downtown Disney where retail operations will be discussed. “
