The Drafting Committee on Uniform Real Property Electronic Recordation Act will meet on Friday, March 12, through Sunday, March 14, 2004, at the CrownePlaza in Arlington, VA. Meeting hours will be from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday and 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and from 8:30 a.m. until noon on Sunday. The Drafting Committee on Model Entity Transactions Act, Drafting Committee to Prepare Amendments to the Uniform Money Services Act and the Drafting Committee on Uniform Consumer Debt Counseling Act will also meet this weekend.

To reserve a sleeping room, please complete the enclosed hotel reservation form and return it to the hotel. The cut-off date for receipt of reservation requests is Friday, February 20, 2004. You will need to guarantee your reservation with a credit card. Also, if making hotel reservations by phone, please identify yourself as a member of NCCUSL to obtain the special room rate.

It is important that our office receive a copy of all drafts and other materials to be discussed at the meeting at least three weeks in advance to allow us time to duplicate and mail the information to each member of the committee for review in advance of the meeting.

For those individuals who are reimbursed by the Conference, please remember that we are able to reimburse only at discounted, less-than-coach airfare rates. Room and taxes will now be billed directly to the Conference’s Master Account for committee members. All incidentals will be charged to individual credit cards.

United Airlines is offering NCCUSL participants (Committee Members, Advisors, and Observers) discounted flight fares to meetings. United offers a 5% discount off the lowest applicable discount fare, including First Class, or a 10% discount off mid-week coach fares, purchased 7 days in advance. An additional 5% discount will apply when tickets are purchased at least 60 days in advance of your travel date. These fares are available by making flight reservations at (800) 521-4041, and mentioning NCCUSL and our Identification Code 549KV.

Taxi service is available to and from the hotel at a fare of $6 one-way from Reagan National airport, $15 one-way from WashingtonDullesAirport. Shuttle service is also available at ReaganNationalAirport through the hotel by calling the hotel ahead of time and scheduling your pick up time by calling the hotel at (703) 416-1600.
