Center Industries will begin shipping the firefighter plates to your offices on Friday September 9, 2005.
You may begin issuing the plates after receipting the plates into inventory item number 084.
The Kansas State FireFighters Association Certificate (copy enclosed) must be presented when making application for the plate and submitted to the state in the daily report when the plate is delivered to the applicant or when the owner of the plate is renewing the tag. The applications include original titles, special plate application/deliveries and registration renewals.
The registration type for these transactions is FF (example OTAUFF). If the applicant already has the vehicle titled in their name and only wish to make application for the firefighter plate, please select registration processing menu than option 14 entitled firefighter off the special plate application/delivery menu option number 16.
Listed below are fees for the firefighter plate. These fees are in addition to the regular registration, property tax and title fees for a vehicle.
· A $40.00 personalized plate reservation fee will be charged upon delivery of each firefighter plate.
· A $.50 reflectorized plate fee.
· A $3.00 County Service fee.
