NOTICE INVITING TENDER
Bank of India invites sealed tenders for supply/installation of new fire extinguishers & refilling of fire extinguishers at our Zonal Office & all branches in the Zone for three (03) years.
From the manufacturers/authorized dealers/Suppliers/contractors who full fill the following mandatory condition/requirements-
1) Must have an established office at:-
a) Jamshedpur
b) Ranchi
2) The firm must be at least 05(five) years old in fire-fighting business
3) Must have valid sales Tax number
4) PF registration
5) ESI registration (If applicable)
6) Must have filed income tax return for last 03(three) years
7) The firm must have a minimum turn-over of Rs 10 lakhs per year for
last three (03) years.
8) Must have necessary ISI certificate in case of manufacture and the valid dealership certificate in case of Authorized dealer/Supplier of ISI fire extinguishers.
9) The firm must be having at least two (02) running contract with PSU preferably Bank’s in state of Jharkhand.
10) The firm/company must be registered with State Fire Service Department.
N.B. –
a) The relative documentary proof in respect of above conditions/ requirements should be enclosed with tender without which the tender will be summarily rejected.
The Vendors fulfilling the above conditions may apply in TWO BID SYSTEM i.e. Technical Bid and Financial Bid interested vendor may either collect the Tender Forms from the above address against the payments of Rs 500/- to be remitted through DD/Bankers cheque in favour of Bank of India, payable at Jamshedpur or download the same from Bank’s website www.bankofindia.com and submit a DD/Banker’s cheque of Rs 500/- in favour of Bank of India payable at Jamshedpur along with technical Bid towards tender cost.
Vendors may submit the tenders only in desired format in two envelopes as explained so as to reach this office by 1500hrs on 30/06//2014. Submission of Tenders in any other format will not be entrained and will be summary rejected.
Note:
1. The earnest money deposit of the unsuccessful bidders will be returned within a period of 30 days from the date of opening of the financial bid. However, in case of the lowest/successful bidder backing out from the terms and condition mentioned in his tender or refuses to honor his tender, the earnest money deposit will be forfeited.
2. Bank reserves the right to cancel one or all tenders without assigning any reason whatsoever.
The envelope for Technical Bid shall be super scribed “TECHNICAL BID FOR SUPPLY/INSTALLATION AND REFILLING OF FIRE EXTINGUISHERS” and shall contain the following:-
1) Earnest money amount through DD/banker’ cheque in favour for Rs.5, 000/-(Five thousand only) in favour of Bank of India, payable at Jamshedpur.
2) Tender cost amount of Rs. 500/- through DD/Banker’s cheque in favour of Bank of India, payable at Jamshedpur. (to be remitted only by vendors who have download the tender document from Bank’s website).
3) Information as per proforma Technical Bid in form A.
The envelope containing Financial Bid shall be super scribed “FINANCIAL BID FOR SUPPLY/INSTALLATION AND REFILLING OF FIRE EXTINGUISHERS” and shall contain the following:-
1) Rates for supply of new fire extinguishers and rates for refilling of fire extinguishers as per Annexure II form A, B & C.
2) Rates of spare parts per unit as per Annexure IV.
Please note that only the rates for refilling will be considered for deciding the L-1. The rate of agreement for supply, installation and refilling of fire extinguisher will be valid for three (03) years only. The rates for spares parts shall be negotiated with the above L-1 on the basis of rates quoted in all the financial bids.

Note:-
1. All fire extinguishers and refills and spare parts must confirm to performance and construction specifications as laid down in IS 15683-2006 as amended from time to time by BIS
2. As per the requirement of Bank of India, refilling schedule for fire extinguishers shall be as follows-
a. Water (CO2) & Foam type- Every 02 years
b. DCP- Every 02 years
c. CO2 & clean agent – Every 05 years
d. ABC – Every 02 years
3. Maintenance of fire extinguishers shall be carried out at the interval of every three (03) months, which shall involve cleaning of external parts, cleaning of nozzles, vent hole, port hole, proper mounting of extinguishers, pressure gauge etc and in interval of 01 year (i.e. when refilling is not due) internal checking, checking of extinguishing media, valves, discharge horns etc. and weight of the extinguisher maintenance check list in annexure C of IS 2190-2010 shall be strictly followed for this Purpose.
4. Hydraulic pressure test, wherever due should be carried out in conformity with the procedure and periodicity laid down in IS 2190-2010
5. Record of maintenance, inspection , testing all fire extinguishers shall be created building wise as per format in annexure ‘G’ of IS 2190-2010 and handed over to concurred office/branch, as referred in para 13 of the standard
