AMA Bursaries — General
Application Form
The AMA will provide sixteen AMA conference 2018 bursaries for people from diverse backgrounds, diverse-led organisations, in the early stages of their careers, leadership roles or from museums and heritage organisations. This AMA bursary will cover nearly 50% of your delegate cost and will save you up to £242 off the full member rate. If your application is successful, you’ll only need to contribute £276 + VAT towards your place (you’ll need to fund your own travel and accommodation).
To be considered for a bursary you must work in either the arts, culture or heritage sector, you must not have attended an AMA conference before and you must meetat least one of the following criteria.
Criteria:
- You are within the first three years of your career within the arts, culture and heritage sector.
- You are working in a leadership role (i.e. at Head of Department, Director, Managing Director, CEO level) within the arts, culture and heritage sector.
- You are working within a museum, gallery or heritage organisation.
- You come from a diverse background.
- You work for a diverse-led organisation.

- You must also be a member of the AMA network. If you are not currently an AMA member and your bursary application is successful, we will ask you to join. For more information, visit
- Bursaries won’t be awarded to more than one person from the same organisation.
- If you’ve already booked your conference place and your application is successful, the AMA will refund you the difference.

Next steps:
- The AMA will assess each application and will email all applicants with a final decision by mid May 2018.
