CHRISTMAS BAND CONCERT: The Elmwood Middle School Band Christmas Concert will be held on Thursday, December 15, in our school commons. The 6th grade band concert begins at 6:30 pm and the 7th & 8th Grade Concert Band will be at approximately 7:00 pm.

ARRIVAL TIMES FOR STUDENTS: The 6th Grade Band will meet @ 6:00 pm and the 7th & 8th Grade Band will meet @ 6:30 pm.

ATTIRE: The 6th Grade Band students should wear their Elmwood Band Green T-shirt, jeans and sneakers. All 7th & 8th Grade Band students should wear their Elmwood Black Shirts (some students still need to pay $20.00 for these shirts). Additionally, boys are to wear black dress pants, black long socks, and dress shoes. Girls are to wear black dress slacks, black long dress socks and black dress shoes. This is a more formal look because the 7th & 8th Grade Concert Band will be performing at two music contests in the near future. If this is a financial burden, please contact me at 479.631.3600.

FUNDRAISER: We are raising money for our Saturday, April 22, band trip to the Branson Music in the Parks Festival and for extra expenses needed for our EMS Band Department. We hope to make this trip an annual event for the 7th and 8th grade band students. This year’s cost is $99.00 per student. It’s not too early to plan for the future. The fundraiser is through a company called Pepper Fundraising. Supporters can visit and purchase items www.pepperfundraising.com by entering either our Program Name: Elmwood Middle School Band – Fall 2016 or our Program ID: 2657. There is an excellent variety of products to choose from. Ask your child about the information I sent home several weeks ago.

Thanks for supporting music in our school. Attendance is required as part of their performance portion of the student’s grade. Please make every effort to attend.
