The Cut Off Date is February 10th. Games on the 10th are included. Paperwork should be submitted to Rich Roche at or by fax at 609-882-5723 no later than 10:00 am on February 11th.
As in past years, the Tournament will be seeded based on:
- Winning percentage
- In the case of ties
- Head to Head
- Records against Common Opponents
- Strength of Schedule
Different from past years – CVC Teams with a winning percentage of .300 or below may opt out. You must opt out by 10:00 am on February 11th.
If no schools opt out, the Men’s Field will include seventeen teams and the women’s field will include 18 teams.
Games will be operated according to NJSIAA Rules.
TOURNAMENT REGULATIONS
Security: Each participating school will provide security for their spectators at each game in which they
participate. These individuals will not be paid by the Tournament Committee.
Certificate of Insurance: TBD
Uniforms: Higher seeded team wears white.
Preliminary Round Games:
Will be administered according to NJ.SIAA Tournament Procedures:
Home team keeps the proceeds/deficit and charges their regular admission fees. Home team will pay officials and timer, while Away team will pay for their transportation. All officials will be assigned by Rob Riley – Assignor of Officials.
Locker Rooms: Rooms will be assigned by the site manager.
Arrival: Teams should not arrive more than one l hour before their game.
Semifinal & Final Round Games:
Same rules above apply.
In addition, each team is responsible to bring their own Athletic Trainer and their own basketballs.
Admission at the Sun Bank Arena is $5 for all.
Awards: First and second place team awards will be presented following final contest. Each member of the
Championship Teams will receive a t-shirt at this time.
Game Ball: The ball will be selected by the referee from a ball belonging to one of the participating teams.
Radio/TV: Broadcast rights must be authorized by the Mercer County Tournament Association.
