Earlier this year CCAO President Edwin Humphrey (Clermont) appointed me to serve as the Chair of the CCAO Nominating Committee. Also serving on the Committee:

1. Lenny Eliason, Athens County Commissioner

2. Mike Halleck, Columbiana County Commissioner

3. Gary Lee, Union County Commissioner

4. Kerry Metzger, Tuscarawas County Commissioner

The Committee met on November 3, 2017 and a copy of our report is attached. Also attached is a summary sheet that shows the composition of the Board if the Nominating Committee Report is approved. Please note that this list also includes those people who were elected to a two-year Board term last year and will be completing the last year of their terms in 2018.

The Report also includes the names of all eligible candidates who have requested to be nominated to the office of Second Vice President. The person receiving the highest number of votes at the election conducted during the Annual Business Meeting on December 11 will be elected to the office of Second Vice President.

This report will be formally presented at the CCAO Business Meeting on Monday, December 11, 2017 and nominations also will be accepted from the floor.

The committee wishes to thank all members who submitted their names for consideration. The nomination process was difficult because of the number highly qualified and motivated individuals expressed interest in serving as an Officer or Board member. The Committee, however, was charged with recommending candidates for five officer positions and eight regular two-year Board seats.

Finally, the 2018 President will make nine more appointments to the CCAO Board for next year. Should you desire to be considered for such an appointment, please complete and return the attached form and questionnaire to Kathy Dillon at the CCAO no later than November 28. In the event you previously expressed an interest to the Nominating Committee for a position and were not selected, you need NOT submit your name again as the next president will automatically receive names previously submitted.

REPORT OF CCAO NOMINATING COMMITTEE

The CCAO Nominating Committee met on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 11:45 am, in the CCAO Office, 209 E. State Street, Columbus. Members present included: Chair Doug Corcoran, Ross County Commissioner; Gary Lee, Union County Commissioner and Mike Halleck, Columbiana County Commissioner. Commissioner Lee moved the adoption of the following report:
