POSITION OVERVIEW

The Works Enablement Branch is responsible for delivering effective, efficient and quality support services for ActewAGL and its related businesses. The Warehouse Administration Officer is responsible to ensure the business objectives relating to warehousing and distribution are achieved.

Reporting to the Warehouse Team Leader, the Warehouse Administration Officer is responsible for:

  • Administrative support to the warehouse and inventory teams.
  • System entry of customer orders and warehousing transactions.
  • The delivery of friendly, responsive and efficient customer service whilst improving safety standards.
  • Providing section support as directed.

ActewAGL will have responsibility to provide suitable training and to make you aware of the legal obligations relevant to your work. Under the ActewAGL Always Safe system, this position is required to participate fully in all aspects of health, safety and environment management within ActewAGL, including risk assessment, hazard identification and control and incident reporting.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work jointly and cooperate with peers and other branch staff to assist in achieving branch business plan, goals and objectives.
  • Deliver assigned tasks through to completion.
  • Take actions to ensure compliance of Always Safe system and a safe workplace.

Ensure ongoing compliance of the Corporate Emergency, Health, Safety and Quality management systems.

  • Provide administration support to the warehouse and inventory teams for receipting, unloading/loading, housekeeping, picking, packing, dispatch and distribution services to ensure the operational activities add value to ActewAGL.
  • Employ knowledge and competencies to the full range of administration and purchasing activities within the Works Enablement Branch.
  • Process all warehouse transactions within a material management system as detailed in branch and organisational policies, procedures and work instructions.
  • Identify/report stock discrepancies and assist with investigations of ActewAGL held inventory.
  • Undertake project work as directed.
  • Maintain warehouse documentation as detailed in procedures and work instructions.
  • Immediately report to Warehouse Team Leader or Supply Manager, all injuries, illnesses and incidents causing environmental harm and near misses, no matter how minor.
  • Give and receive regular feedback on performance.
  • Participate in performance and development reviews in accordance with corporate personal performance and development planning (PPDP) cycle.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to implement process and business improvement initiatives and continually improve the way the warehouse operates.

  • Knowledge and experience in administration and purchasing
  • Competent in the use and operation of PC’s, including Microsoft Office applications Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio and use of the Internet
  • Broad knowledge/experience in all aspects of warehousing and purchasing processes within a large modern warehousing environment
  • Knowledge and experience in the use of computerised inventory and document management systems
