Connect to Where You’ve Been:

·  What are we to do as the bride of Christ until our Bridegroom returns? (Rev. 18:4-5,20,24)

·  What specific actions are you taking to accomplish this?

Connect to the WORD: Read Rev. 19:1-10

·  At the end of the age every person who has ever lived will fall into one of two destinies, either Babylon and her judgement (vs. 1-5) or the bride of Christ and her reward (vs. 6-10). How do you know what group you will be in? Give characteristics of each.

·  Pastor Tim talked about seeing the world through 2 different sets of lenses. What did he mean by that and how have you experienced this?

·  How have you seen the imagery of bride, bridegroom, and wedding depicted throughout scripture? see Hos. 2:18; Is 54:10; John 3:29-30. Why is an anticipated wedding and marriage feast the perfect way of describing our relationship with Christ?

·  Read John 14:1-3. How does this relate to Rev. 19:6-8? Explain.

·  Describe the typical wedding preparation of a bride: anticipation, beautification and then the consummation. How does this relate to us as the bride of Christ awaiting the marriage supper of the Lamb?

·  How does justification (Rev. 7:13-14) work in tandem with sanctification (Rev. 19:8) when it comes to our wedding garments? Explain how it is both.

·  Read vs. 9-10. Why did John slip into worshiping the angel only to hear the angel redirect his worship to God? What does it tell you that angels warn us to only worship God? cf. Rev. 22:8-9.

·  What does it mean that we have the testimony of Jesus which is the spirit of prophecy? vs. 10.

CONNECT to Walk It Out

·  How are you making yourself ready for your wedding day?

·  Are you eager and anxious for that day? Why or why not?

·  Saints rejoice at God’s judgements, prepare themselves for the wedding, and proclaim the testimony of Jesus. Are you a saint?
