Title: Rock Cycle Web Search

Objective: The student will use an Internet site as a source to answer questions about the rock cycle.

Procedures:
- Use as the link to find answers to the questions.
- Minimize the web site to the bottom of the screen by clicking the Minimize button in the top right corner.
- Open Rock Cycle Questions.
- Click File Saveas.
- Navigate to Student folder and save as Rock Cycle Questions.
- Read question 1.
- Click the Internet site button on the task bar at the bottom of the computer.
- Find the answer to question 1.
- Rephrase the answer in your own words.
- Click the Rock Cycle Questions button on the task bar.
- Type the answer to question one in your own words. (Do not copy word for word from the Internet.)
- Repeat this process for the other questions.
- To copy and paste a graphic from the Internet, right click on the picture choose Copy.
- Right click on the answer sheet and choose Paste.
- Click View HeaderandFooter.
- Type Name.
- Press the Tab key to move to the right and type the date.
- Click Close on the Header tool bar.
- Click File Print.
- Click OK.
Assessment:
Grade the printed copy.
Allow students to work together with a partner.
Reduce the number of questions. / Extensions:
Click the link and try the online word search
Click the link and print out the word search to turn in for extra credit
Click Knowledge Nuggets. Take the quiz and print a certificate!!
