Professional Responsibility

Research collaboration in diverse disciplines with researchers from different departments such as Nursing, Pediatrics, Community Medicine, Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Educational Theory and Practice, Exercise Physiology, and Cancer Center. Responsibilities include:

 Research project design

Experimental designs of both clinical-based and population-based studies, including power analysis and sample size calculations for grant proposals.

  • Data management

Design data entry forms to facilitate the collection of research data. Supervise data collection and conduct data cleaning. Process small clinical study data set and large community-based project data set.

 Statistical analysis and consultation

Conduct a full range of professional statistical work including descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. Perform analysis for individual project data and analysis for multiple datasets across population. Interpret data analysis results. Prepare project reports and manuscripts for publications. Manage data and conduct analysis in SAS, SPSS, Excel, and other spreadsheets or text files. Create data reports with Access.
