Title:Economic Impact Analyst & Statistician
Salary Range:$75,000 - $85,000

We are a dynamic and rapidly growing group of economic development finance professionals who help local, small, minority-owned, and rapid-growth companies with access to capital from traditional and non-traditional sources.
Our organization, grant and funding sources use our data, methodologies, and solutions to understand how mission focused non-traditional lending organizations define and measure the impact of access and utilization of County incentives, tax incentives, debt and equity investments.Our solutions include specialized direct loans, economic incentives and subordinated debt structures. Our loan administration division is an entrepreneurial team that manages diverse commercial loan portfolios.
We are looking for an individual interested in a fast-paced blend of business, finance solutions, technology and big data.
Role Purpose:
Our professionals use a variety of data to evaluate and analyze the overall impact of economic development programs, our customer capital needs and execute leading analytical projects. That data is dynamic and evolving due to ongoing improvements in data sources, capabilities and business logic that is specific to the Prince George’s County and surrounding markets.We are seeking a technically-oriented individual to dive deep into the datasets, execute a variety of longitudinal patient analyses, and to support our production environment.
Responsibilities:
- Development and maintain of comprehensive policies, procedures and other compliance risk controls (i.e., monitoring/testing) to ensure ongoing compliance with applicable laws, regulations, rules, standards and guidelines (i.e., best practices) as it relates to County and organizational programs
- Apprise management of significant compliance risks and potential breaches of regulation or policy as well as proposed changes in rules and regulations that could affect our business
- Gathers, analyzes, and interprets trends, patterns and problems related to economic development data and conducts research to provide management with information to aid in program decisions.
- Prepares and presents accurate conclusions, recommendations, and related reports under minimum supervision
- Produces datasets and reports for analysis using MS Excel and other tools
- Runs impact assessments of changes in data sources or derived metrics
- Establishes quantitative measurements and techniques for measuring data quality
- Participates in the development and delivery of data analytics projects
- Tests and helps codify new analytics and methodology
- Respond to periodic County and organizational inquiries and other administrative tasks
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Public Policy, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, Math or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Proven knowledge of MS Excel and Word or any other programming or scripting language
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and the Office Suite
- Interest in quantitative research, analytical techniques and data
- Exceptional problem solving skills
Additional Requirements:
- Experience in working with complex datasets preferred but not required
- Experience with SBA, Economic Development finance and incentives programs preferred
