Vendis Capital Management is offering an internship to a highly motivated young potential with a strong academic background, an analytical mindset and a real interest in investing and strategy.

Period: 6 months
Start date: typically March and September
Location: Diegem, Belgium (near train station)

Founded in 2009, Vendis Capital is an independent private equity firm dedicated to the European consumer space. In partnership with experienced entrepreneurs and managers, Vendis is focused on investing in and building small to medium-sized consumer companies that are well positioned for value-creating growth or transformation (“building brands together”). Vendis’ team currently consists of 13 investment professionals of different nationalities.
Job description
You will be given the opportunity to work alongside investment professionals on the appraisal of potential investment opportunities. Your efforts will mostly focus on the preparation of pro-active deal sourcing (mapping, screening, analysing different market segments). As an intern, you will:
· analyse the strategy, markets and competition of potential investment opportunities;
· evaluate the financial performance of investment opportunities;
· prepare presentations for the internal and external use;
· prepare internal documents assessing the attractiveness of certain industries and companies.
Skills and EXPERIENCE
To apply, candidates should show:
· a high level of motivation and a strong interest in strategy and corporate finance;
· academic excellence;
· excellence in extra-curricular activities;
· fluency in English (spoken and written); proficiency in Dutch and French;
· previous internship experience (if possible in investment banking/M&A, strategy consulting, private equity and/or transaction services).
