Tison All-Region Practice-A-Thon and Football Game
Tison Middle School Symphonic Band students and parents,
Friday, October 14is our All-Region Practice-A-Thon from 5:00-8 pm at Hall Middle School. It will be held at Hall MS and will be required of all Symphonic Band members. Concert band students wanting to audition for Region need be there also. There will be light snacks for the students, but if they want to eat a dinner, they need to do it before 5:00 pm. If your student is eating dinner, please have them brush their teeth before the clinic.
Our All-Region Practice-A-Thon is an investment in our students for help with All-Region music. This is free for our students. We are bringing in instrument specific teachers to help the students prepare for the All-Region auditions.
Your student will be transported from Tison to Hall at 4:30 p.m. We will be done by 8 pm. Please pick up your child at 8 pm from Hall.
We have an excellent private teaching staff, and we encourage everyone to be taking lessons. If you have any questions about the lessons, please contact the teacher to get them answered.

*All-Region auditions will be on Saturday, November 12th in Aledo. The cost for All-Region auditions is $12 and should be paid as soon as possible.
Tison vs Hall Football Game
This performance is required for all current eligible 7th and 8th grade Concert and Symphonic and select Cadet students at Hall Middle School. Middle school band students will have the opportunity to perform at the football game. Attendance/performance/uniform/music will count toward a performance grade.
Tuesday, October 4:
4:00 PM – All 7th & 8th Grade Tison MS Band students meet in the band hall wearing 2016-2017 Tison Band T-shirt, blue jeans and tennis shoes for rehearsal. Students who are also performing with other groups (Drill Team/Football) may bring/wear those uniforms. Pizza will be served in the cafeteria before performing at the game.
5:00 PM – Load buses and depart for stadium
5:30 PM – Get into the stands to play for the B and A games
6:00 PM – Hall band plays for B football game
7:00 PM – Hall band plays for A football game
8:00 PM – Please pick up your student at the front of the stadium.
Each student needs to bring their instrument, music flip folder and music lyre. If you have lost your band shirt you may purchase another for $15.
We will need 3-4 parents at 3:45 p.m. at Hall to help feed the students and 3-4 parents from 5-8 p.m. at the stadium for drinks. If you would like to help please contact the directors and make sure that you have a background check on file. Please be aware that band members WILL NOT be allowed to eat any food or drink (in the stands) other than the water provided by the JR Band Fan Club during the performance.
