Timothy J. Brown, President and General Manager

Purchase of the Inn at Mystic fulfills a dream he’s had sincebeing a regular patronat the Inn’s restaurant after he relocated to southeastern Connecticut in 1993 to take a senior management position at Foxwoods Resort Casino, where he was Vice President of Hotel Operations.

During his seven-year stay at Foxwoods (March 1993 – Aug. 2000), Timwould have both pre-opening role and then ongoing operational responsibilities for hotel operations, transportation, VIP services and other areas at the large gaming resort. He was responsible for three hotels with a total of 1,417 rooms.

After Foxwoods, he headed a number of Connecticut businesses. From Aug. 2000-June 2006 he owned Retail Manufacturing-Champion Awards & Promotions Inc., Milford; general manager at Bayberry Motor Inn, Old Lyme.

He then returned to the gaming resort field, guiding a number of major projects from conception to pre-opening construction before assuming operational responsibilities. His focus included hotel operations and such resort amenities as spa, salon and retail offerings, among others.

He was Vice President of Resort Operations at the Seneca Allegany Casino & Hotel in Salamanca, N.Y.from June 2006 – Dec. 2007.

From December 2007-December 2010- he was the Senior Vice President of Resort Operations at the Downstream Casino Resort, a 222 room hotel and casino in Quapaw, Okla. Among his other responsibilities while there, he developed and managed a 5,000 seat outdoor amphitheater and a 1,000 seat indoor multi-purpose room.

Following his stay at the Oklahoma property, he was named president and general manager of the Deadwood Mountain Grand Hotel, Event Center and Casino in Deadwood, South Dakota, where he oversaw a $50 million renovation of the historic property in the heart of the Black Hills. He was there from Dec. 2010 to Sept. 2011.

Following this, he returned to the Downstream Casino Resort in Oaklahoma, where he consulted on the development of a new, 152-room hotel tower, restaurant and spa. He was there from Oct. 2011 – Feb. 2013.

His other positions with senior executive responsibility includeda consulting position at a major resort property in the Caribbean: Resorts World Bimini Bahamas, a 450-unit resort, casino and fast ferry operation with 10 restaurants and two casinos in the popular Caribbean resort island. (Feb. 2013-Aug. 2013).

Connecticut Lodging Association- Board of Directors;

He is president and owner of D’Amato Builders and Advisors LLC., a Norwich-based firm that

since its founding in 2005 has grown to national prominence in the construction of hospitality properties.

Prior to founding the company in 2005, he served as president and CEO of a nationally-rated top 100-construction management firm specializing in the hospitality field.

Since his graduation from the College of Architecture at Clemson University in 1976, Michael has been responsible for more than $2 billion in construction projects. Among his firm’s many projects in new-build or redevelopment arethe following:
