THE LABRAID BUTTER BRAID SALE FOR PERU SCHOOLS MUSIC DEPARTMENT

NOVEMBER 15-NOVEMBER 29, 2010

Hello to all band and choir members! Our Peru Music department is holding the 3rd annual Butter Braid to help raise funds for the band and choir departments. We will use these funds to pay for new equipment and instruments, and for Concert Band, Jazz Band, and Concert Choir members we will use the funds to pay for the Music in the Parks Great America trip in May. Your participation in this sale will help the music department tremendously! If you are in Concert Band, Jazz Band, and/or Concert Choir, what you sell will go directly into this year’s Great America trip. If you are in Cadet Band, Junior Band, and/or 6th Grade Choir, what you sell will be used for buying new equipment for the music program! Our sale went very well last year, and I’ve already been getting requests from people who want them this year! So we should be able to do really well with this sale!!

WHO TO SELL TO: Anybody you know who loves food! Who doesn’t! These pastries are as good as advertised! They taste wonderful and are perfect Christmas dinner desserts! Unless you are on a diet, you want to have one of these! And they have 0 grams trans fat, so you can still have them if you’re on a diet! They each serve 11 people, so they are perfect for

(please turn over)

holiday gatherings. Have your parents take the forms into work with them. Contact your grandparents, aunts, uncles, and other relatives who may be interested. There are many people who love to have parties and entertain, and they will love the taste of these delightfully sinful pastries (plus they will get to help you and the music program!!).

WHO NOT TO SELL TO: As always, we don’t want you going door-to-door to sell for this program. Please stick to people that you know and trust! Please do not sell to total strangers!

HOW TO FILL OUT ORDER FORMS: PLEASE USE A DARK-COLORED PEN. Make sure your first and last name and your phone number is on the “Butter Braid” form. Please note the dates listed on the forms for return order and delivery. Then the customer name goes on the left and then put how many butter braids they want. The butter braids are labeled by flavor on the brochure, so find the flavor they want on the form and put the quantity in the corresponding box. Then total up how many braids they want and how much they owe on in the right-hand column. Before you turn in the form, please total up how many of each braid you need at the bottom of the form (this helps us order the correct number of butter braids).

GOAL: Each Concert Band, Jazz Band, and Concert Choir student needs to sell at least 12butter braids for us to have enough money to fund the Great America trip. We are asking all other music students to strive for at least 5 butter braids to help us get new instruments or other field trips for the music program.
