When installed behind shower walls, countertops, and floors, JetBacker backer board prevents water infiltration and cannot be deteriorated by water, will not de-laminate or peel, rot, or swell. JetBacker contains a patented formulation of MgO resistant to fire, moisture, mildew, mold, and insects.
At the core of the system is Triton Board, comprised of a waterproof membrane factory adhered to JetBacker with overlap extensions to seal between boards. Triton Board does not contain harsh chemicals yet achieves the highest level of moisture resistance, naturally through its composition.
The Triton CI Mat is a double duty membrane that provides waterproofing and cushioning under tiled floors to be installed over OSB, plywood, concrete, and more. Triton CI forms an impenetrable vapor barrier to prevent mold growth and grout discoloration.

1.7.1 Maintain temperature, humidity, and ventilation within limits recommended by manufacturer for optimum results. Do not install products under environmental conditions outside manufacturer's recommended limits.

2.6 PRE-SLOPED SHOWER BOARDS

2.6.1 Shower Board System: Triton PS Pre-Sloped Shower Board by Triton Watertight Systems complying with the following.

2.6.1.1 The Triton Pre-Sloped Shower Board shall include the drain components, and pipe fittings.

2.6.2 Pan Triton WP Waterproof Membrane pre-bonded in factory to the pre-sloped pan.

2.6.2.1 The triton WP Waterproof Membrane shall overlap on all sides by 3 " (76 mm) and on the underside, eliminating the need for additional sealing tape. The overhanging membrane is placed flush against the wall, creating a true watertight seal. Adhesion on the rear side guarantees better adhesion with the base.
