WELCOME to the 2012-2013 Tilbury Skating Club Season!
First Days of Skating
For our new skaters there will be a table set up in the front lobby with your child’s name badge. Please stop to pick it up and any other valuable information on a nightly basis. The TFSC Bulletin Board is located just outside the ladies washroom. Please continue to check this for any further skating details. Return the name badge to the table once your session is complete.

Private Lessons – Coaches at Tilbury Figure Skating Club
Our Coaches for the 2012-2013 season are; Debbie Daigneau, Chris Bourne, Stacey Arnold, Lori Price, Lori Gunn, Janet Romanyk, Ashley Simond, Maggie Aziz. Freelance – Dave Jannick.
Please be sure to speak with the Coach you may be interested in for the scheduling of private lessons. Note: dependant upon each of the Coaches availability.
Used Apparel & Skates For Re-Sale
Throughout the skating season there will be the reselling of skates, skating dresses, skirts and sweaters. On the first weeks of skating they will be on display outside the boardroom for your perusal. Please feel free to try on (with the approval of the Owner) to ensure a good fit. Prices should also be negotiated with the Owner.
Jan’s Skating Apparel
Throughout the skating season there will be Jan’s Skating Apparel who makes dresses, skirts and also on display various sweaters. Please be sure to visit her display on Mon, September 24th, when she will be at the TFSC.
Protective Equipment
PreCan & Canskaters are required to wear a CSA – approved, hockey style helmet until they have achieved Stage 5 badge. Please note: Bicycle helmets are not allowed.
Program Assistant’s for the 2012 – 2013 Season
Training with on-ice and off-ice this year transpired on Saturday, Sept. 8th, 2012 with Coach, Lori Price, Ashley Simond and Maggie Aziz.

Volunteering
To ensure a successful 2012-2013 skating season for your children, it is imperative that families are prepared to help when asked with the many fundraising initiatives. In turn, creating a WIN/WIN skating season for all.
Solo Music (played upstairs in the Arena)
Tammy Nussey will be asking for Volunteers to play music for each session. Getting and maintaining Volunteers has been an ongoing concern. Unfortunately, if there are not enough Volunteers, children’s music this skating season will not be played. Please volunteer during your child’s session when asked. A schedule to follow shortly and will be placed on the TFSC Board.

Each booklet contains twenty (20) - $2.00 tickets to be sold and returned back to the Club. / Every returned booklet to the TFSC turns a profit of $22.00 back into our skating program.SAVE your Foodland “Receipt” tapes
/Bring in your Foodland receipts to the Club office. Every $450.00 = $1.00 back to the TFSC
SAVE your Kool-Aid Jammer pouches, DelMonte pouches and others.

BINGOS
/If you would like to help support the Bingos the dates for the remainder of 2012 are: Sat, Sept 1 (daytime session), Sun, Sept 16th (daytime session), Sun, Sept30 (night session), Fri, Nov 16th (daytime session) and Sat, Dec 22nd (night session). Please see Sue Marchand for further details.
Carnival
Carnival Theme this year is, “LOVE STRUCK”. One time show is Saturday, April 13, 2013.
Upcoming Test Days
First test day is November 8, 2012. Your Coach may speak to you about completing a test.

Notes from the Executive
The Executive meets on a monthly basis throughout the season. Everyone is encouraged and welcome to attend any meeting.
