  • Galette des Rois photos: If you have any photos, please send them to IsabelleChicoine.
  • School is closed for Martin Luther King Day: Jan. 15
  • Report cards due Friday, Jan. 19. When you have finished your comments, please share them with Charles (for the French) or Isabelle (for the English) so that they can start reading as soon as possible.
  • Portal update due date: Jan. 26
  • Parent coffees start week of Jan. 22 (grade 5). If there is information you wish to communicate to parents, please let the administration know.
  • Grade 1 parent coffee and student concert: will take place on Tuesday, 1/23 at 8:40AM in the auditorium.
  • Code of conduct: With the beginning of the new year, this might be a good time to review the code of conduct with your students. An English copyof the Code of Conduct is attached.
  • Student Council: Next pain au chocolat day for grades 4 & 5, Weds. Jan. 17. Next Spirit Day for all students: Jan. 24. The theme is “Twins”. Students may dress as twins, triplets, quadruplets, etc. or the entire class may come dressed alike.
  • STEM evenings: Grade 5, Jan. 25, 6-8PM; Grade 4, Feb. 12, 6-8PM. All teachers involved in coding should attend.
  • Strategic Plan Development afternoon: Wednesday, Feb. 7 on the village campus. Lunch will be offered starting at 1PM. See Joel’s email dated Dec. 21.
  • State of School dinner: Thursday, Feb. 8.
  • New class lists: If you have new students in your class, please update the lists on your clipboard.
  • Substitute folder: Please remember to have a substitute folder containing your teaching schedule, class list and some worksheets and recommended activities in case of an unexpected absence.
  • Supervision during indoor recesses: If you have a supervision duty on a day when we cannot send the students outside, please come to the cafeteria. Supervisors will tell you where you are needed, gymnasium or cafeteria. When supervising, please be sure to move around the room as much as possible.If for any reason you cannot be presentat your supervision duty, let Goulven know. If you are in the maker space, please limit the number of students to 20 and guide them in the use of the space.
  • Classroom clean-up: Please make sure that your students put away all their materials in their desks at the end of the day. In many classrooms we have observed supplies, papers, books, etc. on the desk and floor. They are tempting for other students using the room after school and it is extremely difficult to clean classrooms under these conditions.
  • Fiche de voeux/2018-2019 sheet (decision to stay at FASNY, grade level): If you have not already done so, please return your fiche to Charles.
  • Student recommendations: This is the time of year when parents will be asking teachers to fill out recommendations for students leaving Fasny. Please refer all requests toAileen.
