Eligibility:All participants must beUSA Swimming registered athletes. No swimmer who is not a member as provided in article 302 will be permitted to participate. Entries will not be accepted without current 2016-2017 registration numbers. Coaches and officials must present evidence of certification as required by Southeastern Swimming. A swimmer’s age on the first day of the meet will determine his or her age for the entire meet. Deck registration will not be permitted.

Complete entry information must be received by, Thursday,October 20, 2016.

Rules: Current USA Swimming rules will govern the conduct of the meet unless noted herein

Warm ups:Southeastern Swimming Meet Safety Guidelines and Warm-up Procedures will be in effect at this meet. The Meet Director will post and announce the warm-up assignments prior to the start of the meet warm-up. Swimmers attending the meet without a coach must report to the Meet Director or Referee to be assigned a coach for warm-up prior to each session.

Any swimmer entered in the meet must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. When unaccompanied by a USA Swimming member coach, it is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer’s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement.

Awards:Ribbons 1st –8thfor all 10 under individual events (8 & under and 9-10 will be awarded separately in 10 & under events). Ribbons 1st- 3rd for all 10 & under relays. IMR events will be scored for 10 & under (100 free, 50 back, 50 breast, 50 fly and 100 IM) and high point will be awarded to the swimmers who scores highest in these combined events. IMX events will be scored for 11-12 (500 free, 100 back, 100 breast, 100 fly, and 200 IM) and 13 & Over (500 free, 200 back, 200 breast, 200 fly, 200 IM, and 400 IM). Swimmers must compete in all of the IMR or IMX events for their age group in order to be eligible for high point.

Format: All events will be conducted in short course yards. This is a timed finals meet. All 12 & under events will be swum in the east pool. All 13 & over events will be swum in the west pool. Swimmers must be at least 13 years old to compete in Open events.

All events will be pre-seeded except for the 500 and 1650 Freestyle and 400 IM. Positive check-in is required for the 12 & Under 500 freestyle, the1650 freestyle and 400 IM by 9:00 a.m. the day of the event. Positive check-in for the 13 & Over 500 freestyle is 5:30 pm the evening of the event. If a swimmer fails to swim a positive check-in event, they will not be allowed to swim their next individual event. Only the swimmer or their coach may sign in for a deck seeded event. The 500 and 1650 Freestyle and 400 IM may be limited to the fastest 3 heats of men and the fastest 3 heats of women. The 500 and 1650 Freestyle and 400 IM will be swum fastest to slowest.Some heats may be swum in the alternate pool depending on the timeline.

Time trials will be available at the discretion of the Meet Referee. Time trials will be held shortly after the conclusion of the morning session. The fee for time trials shall be $7.00 per individual event and $12.00 per relay. Time trials will count in a swimmer’s number of events for that day.

The Meet Referee reserves the right to alter the meet format per USA Swimming guidelines

Facilities:Two, 8-10 lane, 25 yard courses, competition pool depth 4.5-6 feet, non-turbulent lane line, using the Colorado 6000 timing system with scoreboard with lane/time/place display. Warm down lanes are available.

The competition course has been certified in accordance with 104.2.2C(4). The copy of this certification is on file with USA Swimming.

Only swimmers, coaches, officials, and volunteers will be allowed on deck. All spectators are asked to sit in the balcony. No coolers, chairs, or cots will be permitted on deck or in facility hallways.

SES rules dictate that “coaches shall display, when requested, their USAS Membership cards to be allowed on deck at any SES sanctioned meet. Compliance shall be the responsibility of the Host Meet Referee/director.” Therefore all coaches are required to sign in with the MTS office and/or all coachesmust be prepared to show their coaching credentials at any time to the Meet Director and /or the Meet Referee.

Except where venue facilities require otherwise, changing into or out of swimsuits anyplace other than in locker rooms or other designated areas is prohibited.

Use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone, is not permitted in changing areas, rest rooms or locker rooms.

Amenities: Hospitality services will be provided for coaches and officials. A first aid station, concessions and swim wear vender will be available on site.

Entries:Limited to 500 swimmers. If a team puts the number of participants over 500, the entire team will be accepted. Entries will be accepted in the order they are received. Swimmers may enter up to 5 individual events per day, exclusive of relays.

Entries should be sent in via Hy-Tek Meet/Team Manager. E-mailed Hy-Tek entries are preferred. Please include summary totals in the body of your e-mail.

Deck Entries:Will be accepted no later than 30 minutes prior to meet start. No new heats will be formed.

Heat Sheets:Heat sheets will be sold in concession for $10.00. Results will be available on Meet Mobile and on Hy-Tek Live Results.

Disabilities: Swimmers with disabilities are welcome and are encouraged to complete the Information Form for Disabled Swimmers and return it with the entries.

Fees: $6.00 per individual event/ $10.00 per relay; $12.00 per swimmer facility fee; $3.00 SES surcharge OR $5.00 Outside SES surcharge.

302.4 False Registration – A host LSC may impose a fine up to $100.00 per event against a member coach or a member club submitting a meet entry which indicates a swimmer is registered with USA Swimming when that swimmer or the listed club is not properly registered.

I also acknowledge that I am familiar with the rules of USA Swimming and Southeastern Swimming, Inc. regarding warm-up procedures and meet safety guidelines, and that I shall be responsible for the compliance of my team’s swimmers with those rules during this meet.
