Tier 1 Cluster Competition

Congratulations you have been selected to represent

your centres age group at the Tier 1 Cluster Competition to be held at

Clifton College, Abbots Leigh Road, Abbots Leigh Bristol BS8 3QD

on: Sun 18th and Sun 25th Sept 2016

You must be at the Clifton College 70 minutes before the start of your first match to meet up in the main pavilion with your coaches.For U15s please meet 70 Minutes prior to the start of your centres Team 1 game, as you will need to be put into your teams.

Please leave enough time to get to the venue and parked if you have to park in the Watsons playing Fields there is a walk across to the main pavilion.

The assessment of players for Futures Cup and HiPAC will take place over both weekends. Those selected will represent the Wessex Leopards at the Futures Cup or HiPAC, which will be held as follows:

U15 and U17 HiPAC camps will run from:
Sun 23/10/16 to Tues 25/10/16
U15 HiPAC will be at – Venues TBC
U17 HiPACwill be at - Venues TBC
U16 Futures Cup Competition will run from:
Thur 27/10/16 to Sat 29/10/16
U18 Futures Cup Competition will run from:
Thur 27/10/15 to Sun 30/10/16
Both age groups competition will be held at – Venue St Albans Hockey Club

In addition players selected for Futures Cup will be expected to attend 2 training days on Sunday 9/10/16 and Sunday 23/10/16 that will be held at:

Clifton College, Beggar Bush Lane, Abbots Leigh Road, Bristol, BS8 3QD

EHB Head Office will inform players of selection for Tier 2 (successful and unsuccessful) at 12noon on Friday 30th Sept 2016 using online system. Decisions will be communicated via email. Selection will also be posted on the EHB website by 5pm on Friday 30th Sept 2016.

Kit for the competition

You will be issued with JRPC playing kit for the competition (on a loan basis only), and must be returned back to your coach at the end of each competition.

Please bring the following

Hockey sticks and appropriate footwear

A pair of dark tracksuit bottoms

JRPC training Shirt

Girls only – navy under shorts to go under playing skirts

Warm Clothing

Mouth Guard

Shin Guard

Water bottle

GK’s to bring their own kit and equipment with extra straps in the event of breakage

Please note that England Hockey strongly recommends that players should wear mouth, shin and ankle protection, not only when participating in competition, but also in training games and any warm-up where a hockey ball/s are being used. The West Hockey Association will not be supplying Face Masks for Penalty Corners, any player how wishes to wear one will need to supply their own.

General Information

Food/drink will be available all day, we would ask that we support Clifton College with these services:

Food and Drink will be on sale: Breakfast Bacon rolls, Sandwiches

Pasta, Salad, Jacket Potatoes with various fillings, Fruit, Tea and Coffee

The bar will also be open.

Camera registration

Parents wishing to use their own cameras/recorders are required to register and obtain a sticker from the Tournament Directors at the playing venue.

- Players - Do not leave valuables in the changing rooms.

- All players are responsible for their equipment/personal belongings.

- Everyone - Please deposit any waste in the bins provided around the venue.

- NO DOGS are permitted on site;

Injury

If you suffer an injury, or ill prior to competition, please immediately contact your coaches to enable them to assess whether or not you should attend.

Cost/Payment

The cost for the 2 days competition is £40.00 per player

You will need to bring a cheque with you on the first day of competition and this will be collected in by your coaches .
