Friendship is a big word in its meaning although it includes 10 letters but measures more than 1000 meanings. It differs from one to another and from culture to other but it contains the same feelings and dimensions. ( Hadi, fahad, Mohammed from Sh. Ibraheem Basic Education School, Oman)

In this article, we are going to write about this issue by taking different opinions from different countries.

Friendship is a close relation between two persons or more by which one partner has the right to share the other's interests, joys and sorrows and to be a support at thetime of need. ( Sherief Dessouky, Egypt).

Friendship is to like someone. Sometimes you like them because they play sports with you. When you talk to them about the game they know what you mean. When you talk to them about your two little sisters, they know what you mean too. You feel you can trust them soyou lend them stuff. ( Fredrick, Egypt).

Thus what are the characteristics of a good friendship?

  1. Self- denial
  2. Scarifies
  3. Cooperation

4.Pure (Abdullah Al-Regaibi from Sh. Ibraheem Basic Education School, Oman)

In fact it is difficult to make a true friendship from different cultures and different religions due to the diversity of thoughts and beliefs that are imposed by them on people. Different cultures and religions friendships are of course not so successful asthose of within the same country or religion. (Sherief Dessouky, Egypt).

Of course, we are against this idea. If you are honest, pure with those people whether they are from the same religion or culture or not. The most important thing is the purpose of this friendship. ( Hadi, fahad, Mohammed from Sh. Ibraheem Basic Education School, Oman)

One can vary his/her relations according to their common interests, beliefs andthoughts that are apparent through different situations.( Sherief Dessouky, Egypt). This idea proves that different religions are not obstacles for making friendships if you are sharing the same interests and thoughts. In each time there is no need to discuss the difference between the religions. Instead of this, is to discuss what each religion has in terms of humanity and peace. Abdullah Al-Regaibi from Sh. Ibraheem Basic Education School, Oman)

Therefore, (not allfriendships are treated the same way in the sense that close friendships are given more importance and care.) Sherief Dessouky, Egypt

We read all the stories that arrived to this topic and we choose one as an example of a friendship in which we start in unusual way but it continued because of its strong.

Abby's Story: (A student from Sherief’s Group)
I liked the story The Lion and the Mouse by Aesop. At first, the lion didn't believe that the mouse could help him. He laughed at the poor little mouse that begged for his life. He said to the lion, "I will do a kind deed for you some day." The lion let him go but he didn't believe him. A few days later the mouse heard the lion roaring in pain. He set the lion free and I think they became good friends. Friends keep their promises. What I learned from this story is that friends can come in different shapes and sizes. I have a lot of good friends. We play together during gym and lunchtime. I think friends can come from different countries when they show each other respect. The lion and the mouse were from different places too. This story taught me about geography and people who are from different places.
