Prom 2015 News

“Enchanted Woodhaven” is the theme for our 2015 McGuffey High School prom. Prom night is, Saturday, May 3, 2015. The gymnasium will adorned with a woodlands theme. Grand March will begin promptly at 5:45 p.m. Following Grand March, the prom attendees will travel to Southpoint Golf Club, Canonsburg, PA for the prom beginning at7:30 p.m. and ending at11:00 p.m. Valet parking will be provided at the Golf Club. Horsd’oeurves, assorted beverages, and cookies will be available for all to enjoy throughout the evening. A photo booth will be available to capture special moments. A candy buffet sponsored by Brownlee Portrait Cottage will be available at no additional cost. We are pleased to announce that a hypnotist will be performing at 11:00p.m.After the hypnosis, those students attending the After Prom Party will board the buses and travel to the The Hard Rock Café’, Station Square, Pittsburgh for a private party. Everyone attending the After Prom Party MUST ride the buses to The Hard Rock Café’. A full course mealwith dessert, will be enjoyed including unlimited beverageswill be served throughout the evening. After prom party participants can enjoy dancing, games, or have their pictures drawn by caricaturist, Sam Thong. A massage therapist will also be available to offer a chair massage after your long day of prom festivities. There is no additional cost for any activity at the prom or the after prom party. The after prom party will end at 4:00 a.m. and the buses will return back to Valley Brook at approximately 5:00 a.m.

Those students who did not drive to the prom themselves,must make arrangements ahead of time for pick-up at Valley Brook by 5 a.m.

Tickets and $10.00 prom t-shirts will go on sale the week of April 13, 2015 in the library during homeroom periods. Ticket prices are not set yet due to a spring sporting clay shoot fundraiser on April 12, 2015 at Split Rail Sporting Clays, Claysville. *Any McGuffey Junior or Senior who wishes to take a guest (non-McGuffey student) to the prom, must get a blue “guest request” form from the office.

No one over the age of 20 will be approved to attend.

Make sure you sign the “Prom Promise” in the cafeteria during lunch periods. Make the promise to yourself to stay safe and sober and help make the 2015 Prom a successful, memorable event for all. Let this year’s prom be a great memorableexperiencefor you and all of your friends by making it safe!
