This year, the Annual Retreat run by Drysdale is to be a Linked Congregation day. Rev. SueWithers from CTM is guest speaker.

The theme is "Leadership" and is open to all withall leaders (elders, councillors, pastoral carers and team conveners) strongly encouraged to attend.

Asylum Seeker Focus 2017

St Andrew’s Uniting Church Portarlington

Sunday, 28 May, 12.30 pm.

Come to Portarlington for a delicious Authentic Iraqi buffet style 2 course meal in St Andrew's church hall.

Prepared, cooked and served by Siham & Abdul, Geelong residents.

Profits will support the UC Asylum Seekers Project. After lunch the speaker will befrom the Lentara Asylum Seeker project

Cost $25 per head. Places will be limited so get in early!

Listening Lounge

Volunteers needed for the Village Listening Lounge.

The Lounge is a drop-in space at Corio Central shopping centre, supported by Corio-Norlane Uniting and the Presbytery.

Open Monday to Thursday, 11am to 3pm, volunteers offer those attending a cuppa and a listening ear, in line with our values of Respect, Encouragement & Acceptance.

Operating on a roster basis, 2 volunteers work together in 2 hour shifts.

DRYSDALE

Annual Dinner

Mark the date in your diary now!

Saturday, 27 May, 6.00 pm for 6.15 pm serving.

All are encouraged to come along and support this major fund raiser and have a great night out. Bring your neighbours, bring your friends!

A three course meal, all dietary requirements provided for, will be followed by community singing led by our own John Rule and friends.

Seekers will meet tomorrow night (Monday May 15) at Lorraine and David’s home, at 7.15pm. for our usual

cuppa and chat, followed by our study for the night.. All welcome.

Portarlington Biggest Afternoon Tea

This very important Cancer fund raiser will be held this year in Parks Hall, Portarlington on Friday 26th May, commencing at 1.30pm. Guest speaker, musical entertainment, competitions and afternoon tea. Cost $15pp. We have been allocated 20 tickets and I expect them to be taken up fairly quickly.
