Team and the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR).The website provides an informative as well as interactive learning source for students who are interested in learning about our Solar System and our galaxy. The website contains three major divisions entitled: Earth, Our Solar System, and Astronomy and the Universe. Each division contains interesting and accurate data that can be easily read and comprehended by students in the upper levels; mainly 4th and 5th graders. The site includes data on the following items: space weather, myths, history and people, life, images and multimedia. It provides its viewer with special features such as: links to newspapers, links to other Earth and Space related sites and there are also interactive games. There is a link for an e-journal on the website that allows students to create a journal where they will be assigned their own username and password to create daily journal logs. As the teacher, I have a special feature that allows me to make a compilation of my student’s journals. I will have access to view, comment, assess, and grade my student’s journals. This site could easily be used for both academic and administrative purposes.

Material credited to STScI on this site was created, authored, and/or prepared for NASA by teachers, scientists, writers and multi-media web developers. The page was written by the Formal Education Group of the Space Telescope Science Institute's Office of Public Outreach. The site is an awesome tool for teachers who are currently teaching or will teach a unit on earth and space. It provides teachers with graphic organizers, pictures & facts, and a section on myths and realities. These are only some of the tools that can be used by teachers. There is also a section where teachers can brush up on their knowledge of astronomy with classroom-oriented resources. Teachers can also develop their own education/public outreach program and the site also includes funding opportunities and tips on getting scientists involved. There is a movie clip that guides users to constellations, deep sky objects, planets, and events. The site also has a section where students can get help to complete homework. Topics such as: “How do I find resources for a project”, and “Studying Tips for Exams” are posted on this website. Again this site can be used for academic and administrative purposes.
