HG1501 review

This model comes with the usual Hobby Master clear plastic cover that sits over the model and base. The model comes in a showcase box sitting on a black plastic base. Embossed on the base in silver letters is the information about this particular model. The printing is very clear and well placed and a great asset when your collection grows and you need a little assistance jogging the old memory.

This is a very nice looking model wearing a nice paint scheme of German Senfgelb (mustard yellow) and green.

The chassis is metal and so is the majority of the body and shell this gives a nice weight to such a small vehicle. There is a spare tire mounted on the hood as well as some tools on the outside such as an oar, shovel and the rod used to raise and lower the propeller. The propeller actual does swivel up and down.

The paint and markings are very well applied with no smear or smudges.

The interior is well done with 4 bucket seats, steering wheels and gear shifts. There is a windshield with a wiper but the windshield does not fold down. Across the back of the vehicle is what is supposed to be a rolled up canvas top, it is a solid piece of plastic and does not open but does give the look that it is supposed to give. The wheels are rubber but do not roll because the suspension and tie-rods are too fine to withstand and amount of force.

The entire model has a nice fit and finish and I highly recommend this for your collection of unique WWII German ingenuity.
