Section 1. General Information
1.1 Background
Troy Albany Hockey Association (TAHA) is a not-for-profit organization lead by a Board of Directors whose sole purpose is to provide an opportunity for youth ice hockey players to develop their skills and experience competition against both local and regional hockey teams.
In order to better serve the coaches, players, player families of the Troy Albany Hockey Association, the Association has issued this Request for Proposal (RFP) to provide an online store for apparel during the 2017/18 and 2018/19 hockey seasons.
1.2 Overall Objectives
The objectives of this RFP are to provide the following:
a. A fair way for businesses to vie for a sales opportunity while at the same time helping our players and families by rebating our organization at a reasonable and agreed upon rate.
b. Source of revenue for TAHA in exchange for the winning company to provide quality apparel items to TAHA players and families.
1.3 Parenthetical Objectives
In addition to the overall objectives identified above, there are several specific subcomponents to this RFP:
a. Apparel sales and rebates
b. Competitive Pricing and options
a. We seek a competitive, most responsible bidder and best practice bid for apparel
Section 2. Engagement Requirements
2.1 Duration of Agreement
Each proposing apparel company is requested to provide product under the conditions indicated in this RFP for the 2017/18 and 2018/19 hockey seasons.
2.2 Specific Requirements
• Items need to be able to be shipped to the address of purchaser in a timely manner
• A percentage of sales donated back to Troy Albany Hockey Association. What percentage will be donated?
• Given the above, what additional items can be provided by your Company?
Section 3. Evaluation of Proposals
The written proposals will be reviewed by the TAHA Board of Directors with the successful apparel company being selected based upon the goals listed under this RFP and the service capabilities listed under this RFP.
Best and most responsible bidder will be awarded.
Section 4. Submission of Proposals
One copy of your written proposal must be submitted (email is acceptable) on or before September 29, 2017 to:
