Volunteer AgreementVolunteer Benefits & Requirements
All volunteers will receive the following:
- Australia Deaf Games Volunteer T-Shirt, Hat and Bag
- Refreshment Vouchers on the days they are rostered to volunteer
- Individual Roster & Volunteer Information Pack
- Attend a Volunteer Information & Training Session before the Games
- Register at the Volunteer Check-in before each roster shift
- Sign out after each finishing each roster shift
- Wear Volunteer T-Shirt and registration lanyard while on duty
- Be respectful of other volunteers, support people, participants and visitors
- A Volunteer is expected to be available for a minimum 5 hours of work per shift and minimum 3 shifts during the Games.

Volunteer DeclarationIn the event of circumstances beyond my controlthat prevent me from volunteering, I will contact the Volunteer Coordinator as soon as possible so that a replacement can be found to fill my roster shifts
The Volunteer only requires their ID to be verified at this stage with a form – PD267 National Police Clearance and attends a police station with the form and bring I.D of 100 points to be verification.
I understand that if I have registered as a volunteer, but do not fulfil my part of the Volunteer Agreement to complete the required minimum roster shifts, I will return the Volunteer T-Shirt and registration lanyard.
I understand that I can choose to withdraw my Volunteer Application upon receipt of my roster shifts, if I feel unable to comply with all the hours and conditions allocated to me.

VOLUNTEER JOB INFORMATION
Volunteer Title / Job DescriptionCustomer Information / Welcome sportspeople & visitors, answer questions, provide info & directions, check registration/tickets, manage the crowd etc.
Administration / General Administration duties, prepare documentation, handle correspondence, maintain records of equipment, computer use etc.
IT/ Computer / Help with IT and Computers
Logistics &
Operations / Assist with set up & pack down equipment, distribute kit bags, put up banners& info signs on venues, load and unload supplies from vehicles (some heavy lifting will be required)
Transport / Driving vehicles & shuttle bus – transporting goods, sportspeople & VIPs to various venues, running errands, supervising vehicle loading at venues
Food Delivery to Officials / To deliver meals to volunteers/sports conveners at venues
Ticket &
Merchandise Sales / Sell tickets, & merchandise to visitors, fit wristbands, provide information to visitors (cash handling skills an advantage)
Opening/Closing Events / Check - in sportspeople & performers, mark names on appropriate list, fit wristbands, assist with athletes parade & performers,
Video / Photographer / Take videos/photos at various venues, social events etc.

Check-In / Check-in volunteers, fit wristbands, provide program & festival lanyard, provide sign-in / out sheets
Venue Attendant / Medal Ceremonies / Main venue entrances & check wristband on entry into ticketed venues, notify security of any issues related to door entry
Assist with keep venue entries & walkways clear, assist with presentation of the medal ceremonies at various venues
Marketing &
Public Relations / Welcoming officials sponsors, VIPs and visiting media, assisting with marketing and delivery of information/results
Accreditation & Distribution / General administration – enter information into computer, uniform processing, issuing of accreditation, enter participant information, answer registration enquires and compile results
Interpreter / To assist with communication conversation access
Social Media Champion / To post updates and information onto Social Media sites including Facebook, Tweeter and Instragram
Errands Messenger / Assist with Official Volunteers and do various errands
